In 3 days it was Halloween! Damon was now about 2 and a half weeks old. He was a calm baby. He rarely cried and overall he was a total angel. For Halloween Nikki and I decided to dress up. We were going to be a family of devils and dress Damon up as a little baby devil. Cute, I know right.
Over the past couple of weeks Margo has brought Ruby, Sharsie has brought Skylar and Ren has brought her kids and we have been all bonding. Of course Ruby and Damon are little baby's, and the others are older but that doesn't change anything.
Guns N Roses have been over a lot to work in the recording studio and help me take care of Damon. To be honest Steven is a brilliant uncle. For some odd reason he can't wait to give Damon Dino nuggets when he is older. Saying that Steven is a child deep down. Guns N Roses were gonna release the deluxe version of Appetite For Destruction very soon which is brilliant.
As well as Guns N Roses constantly being here so are Hanoi Rocks (more Razzle than anyone) and the rest of Mötley. Mick is a huge help. At first he was panicking thinking he wouldn't be a good grandpa but he is a brilliant one.
"So when can he start eating solid foods?" Asks Steven holding Damon. "7 or 8 months Damon can start, but it's only certain foods." I say reading my magazine. "Sooo that means in 8 months he can eat Dino Nuggets?" I look up at him and he has a huge smile on his face. "What's with you and Dino Nuggets?" I ask putting my magazine down. He shrugs. "Dunno, Duff introduced them to me about a month ago and I have loved them since. It's like a family of Dinosaurs roaming your kitchen." I was speechless. Did this man really just say it's like a family of dinosaurs roaming your kitchen. I sigh and begin to read my magazine again.
I then realise I haven't seen Nikki in a while. "Steven, I'm gonna go find Nikki. Will you be ok with Damon." Steven nods his attention still on Damon. I stand up and tip toe in the hallway. I had a gut feeling something bad was going on. I walk into my bedroom and there was silence. I see that the closet door is shut then I hear the sound of the voicemail machine. "Hey Frankie, this is your mum." I run over to the machine and switch it off.
That can't be Nikki's mum.
I open the closet door to see Nikki sitting on the floor. He looks at me in the eye, a worried expression on his face. "N-Nikki what's wrong?" I sit down next to him. He looked ill. "I'm so sorry." He mumbles. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion and he hands me an empty needle. I stare at it for a moment. "Nikki, did you?" He nods. I stare at the needle then him. "Your telling me that I just had a baby and you have been doing drugs?" He stares at the floor. I see a tear roll down his cheek. "Hey, don't worry. We will get help. How long?" I ask. "Since January or so. We were at a party and some guy introduced me to it. My mother has been calling me a lot and after that it only got worse." He says. "Ok this is what we are gonna do. I'm gonna take all of it ok and through it away. Your gonna get a shower and I will call Doc. Is that ok?" He nods. I stand up and I am about to leave. "Wait, stay here for 1 minute please?" I nod and sit back down as he brings me into a tight hug. We stayed like this for five minutes or so. "I'm gonna get a shower." I help him stand up and he goes to the bathroom. I then take all the needles and other shit and toss it in the bin. I then go downstairs and call doc. He agrees that he will come over in a couple of days and get help. Good.
I felt broken. Sad. Angry. Nikki was doing heroin. Fuck.
After about 25 minutes Nikki came out the shower. He wore a jumper and jeans. He came downstairs and got a glass of water. I walked over to him and hugged him tight. "You know I love you?" I ask. "Of course I do. You know I love you?" "Yep, forever."
31st October 1984:
"Ok gather in for a picture guys!" Says Tommy. Everyone was dressed up looking amazing. We all took a picture. Tommy printed it out and handed out a picture to everyone.
Nikki has been sober for about 3 days or so which is good. He seems to be doing ok and seems a little happier.
The party was good. Everyone was happy and there were kids everywhere. I panicked when I couldn't find Damon anywhere. I gave him to Tommy, Tommy gave him to Razzle and Razzle gave him to Axl and Axl gave him to- Steven. I walk into the backyard to see Damon in Stevens arms and Steven sitting on the grass with all the other kids. "And that is the story of the Dino Nuggets." I roll my eyes and walk back inside. I whip out my Polaroid camera. "SAY CHEESE GUYS!" I exclaim at the boys. The all pose for me. The photo finally develops and I laugh at the sight.

"We look amazing!" Exclaims Tommy. "We do." Says Nikki with a chuckle. He brings me in for a hug and I hug him tightly. "You seem to be doing better." I say my face nuzzled in his chest. "Much better." He whispers. ____________________________________
