Chapter 9

RAFAEL'S POV

I  was working on my laptop while having my dinner when I got a call from my secretary that my  meeting is on Friday with Miss Winston ,
Annie  I don’t know why I accepted her project may be I just paid attention to her presenatation that is why .Yes!!! this is the reason what else it could be . Why do I overthink when something is related to her .’Rafael you need to calm down’I told myself .I can't make the same mistake I made 4 years back .I need to act professional .She's just a designer for my hotel project nothing else .I made my way out to clear my mind and get some fresh air .As I was walking I saw Annie  near the mall hugging a man ‘Now who the hell is this’. I thought, now why am I thinking this .She can do whatever she wants I ignored her and moved forward ,but again my mind was on her and the man she was hugging with soo much love .She looks happy ,how can she just move on after what happen 4 years back, is it that easy  to move on with their life . Then why am I stucked .As I was thinking about her ,I could makeout how angry I was ,I took out my phone and searched for a nearby club and found a cub which is 5 mins away .I made my way to the club and ordered my drink as I was too  angry to notice how much I drank .The last I remember a girl helping me in the cab and I dozed off………….

Next morning .

I woke up with a sharp pain in my head .I opened my eyes and looked at my surrounding .“This is not my room, where am I ?” and then I found a girl laying next to me ,I was too shocked to process what happened and moved out of the bed .I searched for my clothes and wore them making no sound ,so that I don’t have to face and explain  her anything .As I was moving out of the door that girl woke up and called out for me calling me by  someone else’s name luca .I turned and looked at her she was still sleeping but she was beautiful .I was busy looking at her when she opened her eyes and saw me standing ,she has her eyes wide opened in shocked as if she just saw a ghost taking that as a sign I moved out of her house and made my way to my hotel wondering 'how in hell did I end up with a girl on her bed 'I need to divert my mind with my work .Only work can keep me in place .Again because of ANNIE  I ended up in a difficult situation , ‘why it always has to be her in my mind ,can't she fucking leave my mind and let me be in peace .I SOOO HATE YOU MISS WINSTON “

THE MEETING .

It was 7:00 am in the morning I did my jogging and was going to get ready for my meeting with MISS WINSTON as I went for my shower I kept thinking about the contract .’Its gonna be fun working with you miss Winston ‘ I thought to myself .I made my way out of my shower with a towel and wore a grey pants white shirt with grey tie and a grey coat .I’m not good at color . I only wear  Black, Grey and blue because according to me these color define class and professionalism .I did my hair and got ready for my breakfast I’m  tired of eating hotel food .I  love homemade food .As I was done I made my way to the lobby were  my secretary was waiting for me .We  sat in my car made our way to the building were  the conference was held as I reached there I checked my watch I still have 10 mins to 9.00 . I smiled with I thought that ANNIE being ANNIE  is going to be late . I made my way to the meeting room , As I entered I was beyond shocked not for the fact that Annie was present before time but there  was a girl with her the same club girl . I masked my face with a blank look and moved forward .
“GOOD MORNING ,MR Knight this is my financial lawyer MISS ISSABELLA WHITE”.she introduced her lawyer .I just gave a nod and handshake her and made my way to my seat .
“Liza give the contract to Miss Winston , I hope we agree with the conditions MISS Winston ,but still if we don’t we can negotiate .”I said
She gave me a nod and gave the contract to her lawyer which I could feel is a bit uncomfortable .She was looking at me with pleading eyes ,but for what .i should be the one with that look .
Annie  got a call and she excused her and moved out ,as she moved out her lawyer got up from her seat and starting yelling at me ,good the room is sound proof .
“What the hell do you think you are doing?”  she said
“What the hell am I doing ?,I’m doing my work” .I said
“Don’t you dare utter a word about that night ,that night we  both were  drunk and  it was a mistake” .she said
“Relax ,Miss we are here to work, act professional”  I said.
As she made her way to her seat Annie  entered and gave us a confused look and moved to her seat .
After a while as she was ready to sign the contract, her lawyer said ‘we want more days to design your hotel ,the period time is short and we won't move to your office in NewYork as your hotel is going to be here ‘ she  said
She's smart I thought because I mentioned that condition in different words so that no one would able to understand that .
“Yes ! MISS White but you need to come to newyork to see my hotel how its designed and you need to prepare the project according to that .”
“MR KNIGHT we can visit once and have a look we don’t need to stay there and work on this project”. Annie replied
As she got another important called she excused herself and moved out ,I wonder want is more important than this meeting , may be her boyfriend ,the man from that night .
“Look Miss white I have a proposal for you agree with my condition and I'll forget about that night ,but if you don’t agree I would like to know more about that night in detail of course infront of your friend I hope you won't mind giving the details .”I said and smirked .
As Annie made her way to the meeting room she was apologizing   for her behavior ,when I said ‘’I hope you are not this unprofessional with my hotel project MISS WINSTON ‘’I could see the shame in her eyes .i should be happy insulting her but I felt  hurt seeing her .
GOD she's just faking all this .
“Sorry MR KNIGHT  the call was important and  it won't happen again .she said
‘’Was it as important than my time MISS Winston because I am sure the call  could have waited but not this project I hope you understand .’’
She gave me a nod and started discussing something with her lawyer and signed the contract .i smirked watching her signing her death contract . They both stood up and shaked their hands, her lawyer was giving me a displeased look and Annie  was happy .
“I won't disappoint you Raf!!! Uh.. I mean  MR KNIGHT”.With that she moved out with her lawyer .I won't disappoint  you too to  regret your decision MISS ANNIE  WINSTON. You are going to regret  everything you did in your past and you would regret your future …………
