RAFAEL'S POV
As I got up in , I did my daily routine and and had my breakfast. After having my breakfast I went straight to my office to drown myself in work so that I can think about her.She’s been 24/7 on my mind . After her nightmare I can’t even concentrate on my work. I attended all my meetings of the day and did some extra work.. I was then reminded that I have a meeting with Miss Winston tomorrow by my PA . I was still mad at her for not telling me about the nightmare. Can’t she trust me for once? At 10 pm I decided to go home and call it a day.as I reached home I took a shower and had my dinner cooked by the cook as I prefer home made food .I needed some fresh air so I sat in my balcony for a while and close my eyes and again my thoughts were clouded by none other than Annie.I sighed and decided to sleep.
Today is the day we are going to meet again for the meeting . I came early to office I was too worked up to meet her but she was late for the meeting .I was waiting for her for quite some time and when she didn’t show up I decided to carry on my work and asked my secretary to call her once and tell her about the meeting if in case she has forgotten. I was starting to get angry on her impunctual behavior. At 10:30 I decided to ask my PA about her arrival but then I heard some voices from ouside so I made my way outside to check on them. But what I saw made me furious. There she was standing trying to free her hand from the Miss brown who has gripped her wrist very tightly.The thought of someone hurting Annie already made me furious about it .I yelled at Miss Brown for hurting her and took Annie’s hand in mine and took her to my office. Not forgetting to fire her first. I can’t see anybody hurting Annie . As we entered my room she was shocked to see my behavior towards the receptionist .
“Are you hurt?” I asked in concern while making her sit.
“I’m fine Mr Knight, there is nothing to worry about and I’m sorry for coming late to the meeting". She replied looking down.
I clenched my jaw and tighten my fist in anger. This girl ,can’t she look in my eyes and talk to mee for once. Can’t she talk to me normally for once. I cleared my throat and moved to my seat.
“As everything seems good, Lets start the meeting,shall we?” I asked.
“Yes ofcourse”
“So I was thinking to start the project from Monday……………’’and then when I ookeed into her eyes they wear red her face was paled, I wanted to ask her what happened ,but this stubborn women won't tell me ‘’sooo I continued
‘’ and you can start showing me…… the sketches from Wednesday or anytime you like but you need to inform me beforehand about it. You need to design almost 45 rooms ………15 honeymoon sweat ,three ballrooms and a club.Is there any problem with it?”
Her eyes her face was distracting me,was she crying all night is that is the reason she is late,but why did anybody hurt her.ohh god annie are you in trouble .i thought
“Not at all Mr Knight but I need your opinion as well .What should be there and what should not and even the colours. It should be ancient or modern etc . So can you please tell me in detail.”
Her voice was hoarse .For sure there is something wrong .she cried I can feel it from her voive her face .
“That all depends on you Miss Winston .Design the way you like it”
I smirked looking at her reaction .I can say that she was shocked .
“But I need to know about your opinion its important.”
“Okay so I would like it to be classic and unique. Simple but elegant and mostly in grey and black".
“Thankyou Mr Knight that would be all. I will try to show you the sketches as fast as I can. I wil be taking my leave now”
With that she got up and we handshake. Her wrist was on full display so I tried to look at it and as I looked there was a red bruise,I can sense my anger coming back but I composed myself and sat in my place .as she was gone out of sight I called my friend Jason he is also the best detective he has his ways to get work done .
“Hey buddy what make you remember you old friend ????” He asked annoyed
“Of course work JASON” … I smirked
“Yess what else would you call me for now ,spill bro,what am I suppose to do ??”
“Good now ,I need you to find out everything related to ANNIE WINSTON. There is something going on with her I don’t want to know much just there is something disturbing her I need you to find the reason ,how much time do you need ?” He took a minute to understand what I am asking for because it is soo unlike me .
“I’ll call you when the work is done . It will probably take me 1 hour max to max”
“Okay. I will be waiting for your call”
I said and ended the call .
I was busy in my work but all my attention was on her .Her face was just not leaving my mind .every 5 mins I was just busy looking at my wristwatch there was still 20 mins to go,I just hoped Jason gets to know about what is bothering her .as I was busy in my thoughts I got a call from Jason .and the first thing he asked made me lost my mind .
“MAN who is this girl to you if I may ask ?????”
Thats none of your businesss Jason come to the point and the next thing he said made me want to punch someone really hard .
