CHAPTER 16

ANNIE'S POV

His words shocked me .How can he just fire somebody because of me .There were already many things going in my head and now this.  My wrist was hurting very badly. I’m sure a bruise will be there after sometime . After coming inside the cabin he made me sit  and asked me ‘is it hurting’ with concern lacing his voice. I answered him very formally and apologized for my tardiness because I was not in a state to answer. My mind is already occupied by the marriage thing. I don’t know how I am going to handle this because there is no other option except marriage. I already have accepted to marry someone I don’t know. I hope he treats me well. I actually never thought of marriage till my dad told me about it.I hope everything goes fine. After that he cleared his throat and made his way in his own seat. I can feel the anger radiating from inside his body.  But why is he angry ? With that we started our meeting . After discussing some important points and when to start the project  I decided to ask him about his opinion  but he said that I can design the way I like and there is no need for his opinion. I was shocked to hear that. Why does he want me to design the hotel the way I like. What has happened to him. Just now he was angry and now he is acting nice. I can’t understand this man .

Oh my God.

Then I forced him to give his opinion about it and then he gave me. After finishing our meeting I made my way out and sighed.

After the meeting I decided to go to a café to clear my head. Its only been 2 days and so much has changed. I’m going to be married. This thought only made a shiver ran down my spine .

After ordering a cappuccino I looked at the busy streets of NEWYORK.

Life has changed so much these past 4 years. As my order came I drank , paid the bill and made my way towards my baby.

I decided to head home and take a nap as my head is throbbing. As I made through the door I see dad sitting on the couch in the living room. I may my way towards him and took a seat next to him.

“ Dad, what’s up ,how are you feeling ‘’

“Everything good . how was your meeting?”

“It was good”

“So  I choose a groom for .Have a look”.

With that he forwarded a folder top me.

“No dad .I’m good with whatever  choice you make”

with that I patted his back and went in my room to take a nap. After half and hour, I got up ,showered wore track pants and a hoodie. My stomach was grumbling so I went downstairs to have some lunch. As I was heading towards the kitchen I can hear some voices from there. I decided to check on it .i can see my dad standing there and a person’s back was facing me. I think there’s something familiar about this person. By then dad noticed me—

“Princess ,you’re up. See who has made his presence known. Come and meet your soon-to-be-husband”

I didn’t make any move. The person itself turned around and I gasped because it was none other than RAFAEL KNIGHT
