CHAPTER 12

ANNIE'S POV

As I turned Rafael was making his way towards me and looking at me furiously .But why is he looking at me as I just  killed someone?, I thought. He stared at me . I gulped and started looking everywhere except him.suddenly he grabbed  my hand and moved to the jet  . I tried moving from his grip but he refused  to acknowledge it. My wrist was hurting but I didn’t say anything . I sat in front of him and was looking out . I was mad at him . Why did he have to drag me to the jet.what happened to him? I can feel his intensifying gaze but I refused to turn. The air hoistress came and told us to tie our seatbelts as we our going to take off.Then I started shouting on him but he was not listening me so I yelled at him
“what” . He started stammering and I was shocked to say that ‘THE RAFAEL KNIGHT’ was stammering in front of me.

“I was on time,why were you angry at me ?”I asked him

“You were late by 8 minutes MISS WINSTON. You were busy crying on leaving your boyfriend---------- " I was too confused to react on what he was talking about,then it clicked me .This idiot is talking about Luca .And that got me angry ,but I refused to show him .
He took me  and Luca  in a wrong way and started telling how I was crying on leaving him and blah blah blah.I gave him a disapproving look and didn’t mind correcting him about my and Luca’s relationship .Why should I correct him. I’m not answerable to him. I ignored him and started reading. After some time he too got up and went somewhere. I was tired so I decided to take a nap. I had a nightmare which has come after 3 years. I started sweating profusely. I don.t want to relive this nightmare again . Tears began to form in my eyes . I started throwing my head in different direction. I felt a soft hand on my forehead and then I calmed down a bit .When I got up I saw that Rafael was beside me  giving  me a confused and worried glance.

“What happened?”I asked.

“You had a nightmare and then when I tried to wake you up you said ‘DON’T LEAVE ME’..”

“I’m sorry ,If I disturbed you, can I have a glass of water?”

“yeah sure,are you ok?”he handed me a glass of water and then looked at me suspiciously

“I’m fine” With that I got up and went towards the washroom so that I don’t have to answer his question. After 10 minutes I came out and directly went to my seat . Rafael was continuously staring at me but I didn’t give him any heed .Then suddenly he stood and asked

“What was the nightmare about Annie?”

“ Its none of your business Mr Knight. I’m sorry if I have disturbed you, please don’t mind me”
I can feel the anger radiating from inside his body ,just then there was an announcement informing us about putting on our seatbelts as we about to land. Rafael gave me a glare and  sat in his place .After landing I can sense all the memories of this place coming back to me .Rafael made his way out and went directly in his car. I was standing and looking at his car as he made his way out.

‘Now what happened ,what did I do’ I put my hands in the air and asked myself loudly. Urghhhhh……
After hailing a cab for myself I took a seat in the cab and looked outside as the buildings were passing by.Its been so long ,I have come home .I  wish everything goes fine. I sighed and then closed my eyes.After sometime  I reached my place and then surprised my parents as they didn’t know I was coming

“Honey why didn’t you inform me about you coming to NEW YORK”

my mom asked me

“Mom it was all so fast that I didn’t get time to inform ya’ll.”they were both looking at each other and smiling awkwardly

“What happened?” I asked them
“Nothing , we are just happy to see you again”dad exclaimed. I know that was half the truth and there is also some other reason to it but I didn’t asked them.

“How are you feeling dad?”

“I’m fine princess,how is work going?”

“Everything is good dad!”we talked for some more time and then we had dinner together,laughed and talked together.I was happy after a long time. We all  had fun together . After sometime we all went to our respective rooms. As I entered all the memories came back of this room . I tiredly made my way towards my bed  and laid down for sometime .after resting for a while I checked that if I have any mails from Rafael’s secretary and indeed there was a mail from her informing me about our meeting which is held day after tomorrow  at  sharp 9pm . I sighed and decided to sleep excitedly as I have a whole day to be with my parents .

After getting up a little later than usual, I brushed my teeth and decided to make my way down. I greeted my parents and we had our breakfast.After that  Dad wanted to talk to me something important so we went in the backyard and sat there

“what happened dad, is everything ok?” I questioned him .he gulped and started answering me-
“Princess I wanted to tell you something”he started sweating profusely.

“Yes Dad ,you know that you can tell me anything right?”

“yes honey,actually I-I  have only-only 2 months left  before I die so I want to-to see you married.” I was frozen in my place………..
