Chapter 37

Rafael POV

I was not even a percent paying any attention in the meeting I was too busy thinking about my beautiful wife, her smile thinking of her smile ,a smile made its way on my face she then- suddenly my PA called for me and asked me about the presentation I just smiled and said good job and moved out I just wanted the reach home as soon as possible I called my Damon and said

“Damon cancel all my meetings, appointment for the month and if anyone will ask anything ,say that I went to my honeymoon with my wife and will return after a month, if anything will be urgent I am sure you can manage it.” He gave me a nod and smiled at me,then said

“Sir,can I ask you something ?”

“Yes sure Damon……..” I said

“Sir I never saw you this happy , you waited for ma'am but you never knew she would be yours or not then just with the hope, how can you wait? what if she would have married someone else ?" he questioned .I just smiled and said

“The wait is always worth it Damon ……… I only hoped that one day she would be mine ………well a man can only hope.” I said and smiled he gave me a nod and moved out .

I took out her picture from my last draw and kept in on the table it was her picture which I took it in college when she went to her camp she was looking beautiful as always . I smiled and kept her picture on the table beside my laptop .I was completing my work to go home as soon as possible but because I will not be there for a month I have to finish some extra work that nobody disturbs them .He looked at his time it was past 6.00 pm. I  completed my last file and made my way towards OUR house. I was smiling throughout my way home. Why is my home so far suddenly I thought .On my way back home I took her favourite flowers which are lily.

I reached the door and rang the bell but nobody opened so I punched my code and entered the house was dark I switched on the lights and a smiled at the seen ,The  whole house was decorated with flowersand candles I called for her

“Annie baby I am home where are you I love you”

I yelled on top of my voice but there was no answer I was having a bad feeling but I ignored it and made my way towards OUR bedroom and to say I was shocked would be an understatement .
The whole room was smelling like her, the candles, the dim light, the wine which was placed on the table, white roses as I like but where was she I checked in the bathroom the balcony but no she was no where to been seen, then I ran down and searched in the kitchen but she was no where to be seen I called

Mrs D’souza 
“Mrs d'souza where is Annie she is not at home is she with you?” I asked but she said

“ Annie asked me to take 2 days off because she wanted to spend some time with you son” she said I smiled and disconnected the call then I called her but her phone was switched off,then I got a text from an unknown number . It was Annie's picture she was tied to a chair her face was not visual, her hairs were all over the place she was wearing the same dress she wore in the morning.My blood boiled seeing her like this but what made me lose all my senses was- what it was written after that picture .
‘’I got what was mine’’
