Chapter 29

RAFAEL’s POV

I was so shocked to move any muscle  but the scene infront of me made me yell, noticing me they got out of each other arms .Annie was trying to say something   but Draco cut  her and said “Now everything is fine between us Rafael-"I cut him through and asked Annie to go as the driver is standing down. She tried to explain me but I gave her a cold look and said

“Go ,the driver is waiting.” She instantly went towards the elevator and the doors closed. I closed my eyes to calm myself down.Draco was still standing there so I told him

“I need to go, I have some work”with that I  moved towards the parking. I was controlling myself to not hit my bestfriend for touching my wife. I sat in my car and called Mrs D’souza and told her to move all the  things of Annie in my room. I drove towards the beach to clear my mind.As I parked my car near the beach I got a call from my driver informing me that Annie had reached the penthouse. Then I realized that Draco is also living in the penthouse,I started the engine and drove straight to the penthouse.

As I was driving I thought about them. Are they back together? Has Draco  forgiven her?  I reached the penthouse and went straight up. I was so mad at her.I saw Annie searching for her clothes and everything. She looked at me and then down and said-

“I……..I was go………..going uh…………..mh my clo…….cloth”I didn’t let her complete and took hold of her wrist and dragged her to my room . She tried releasing her hand but I tighten my grip. I can see that is was hurting her but I didn’t loosened my grip.i pushed her to the bed  and said

“You are my wife and husband and wife are supposed to stay in one room,aren’t they?So now  you are going to stay with me in OUR ROOM  AS HUSBAND AND WIFE”

her eyes widened in surprise but I remained composed. I took slow  steps towards her and  sat closer to her.she tried to move back but I hold her neck and brushed my cheeks with hers and whispered in her ear

“You didn’t mind hugging your ex-boyfriend in my office then what happened now Annie,why not me, you’re MY WIFE in OUR HOUSE in OUR ROOM.Why do you keep pushing me away.”

I was so hurt .I wanted to cry,I was feeling so many emotions anger,frustation, everything but I didn’t showed any. She cupped my face and wiped my tears and we stared at each other. I wanted to look through her eyes ,look through her soul. I leaned in and kissed her soft lips. For sometime I didn’t move my lips. She was my first kiss.I slowly started moving my lips on her but I moved back. I can’t do this to my bestfriend I can't forgive her . How can I do that. I took a bottle of whiskey and went on the terrace. I sat on the bench near the edge and thought about everything. Why can’t I forgive her for what she did. Why is it so hard to forgive her(Its easy to forgive but hard to forget) my subconscious said.I finished the bottle. Does Draco  want her back? but she is my wife now how can he…………but does she want the same what if she still loves Draco. Will she leave me . I went to my room and saw Annie sitting near the window on the love seat with a laptop .I went near her and said-

“What are you doing?” she got startled and put her hand on her chest.

“Uhh. I was finishing my designs”
I only hummed in response and went to have a shower.

I wore black sweatpants and a T-shirt. I made my way towards the bed and lied down.I took a glance at her and saw her looking out . I turned the opposite side and slept.

Next morning I got up from my bed and saw Annie sleeping on the couch.Is she scared of me? Why didn’t she sleep on the bed. Did she think that I would hurt her.  I made my way to the bathroom and showered . I wore a sky blue color  suit and went to have my breakfast. After having breakfast,I directly went to my office thinking about Annie. I reached my office and ordered a black coffee. I’m still processing the thought of her getting scared at me. I decided to tell her everything today and clear all the things between us. I will go home make her sit next to me and explain everything. I did all my work to go home early. I finished my work and went home at 6:30pm. I will make her understand everything. I parked my car  and then went straight to the penthouse. As I went inside the living room was empty,I heard voices coming from the kitchen so I went there .

There,she was standing with her left hand in Draco’s hand and staring at him. They haven’t noticed me yet. Draco put his left hand on her back and took her to the sink and said-
“You’re so clumsy.You haven’t changed a bit. WHAT WILL YOU DO WITHOUT ME”............
