Over the weeks, Shinsou and I's relationship flourished and continued to bloom. Though the others had started to warm up to him and him them, he still preferred my company. We spend more time together than apart it seems.

I had nearly gotten over the loss of the Bakusquad, and the upcoming parent teacher conference was all but forgotten. Even the mysterious person who'd been texting me had quit asking for daily reports, so everything started to turn around for the better.

Still, I can't help but feel that something was bound to go wrong. If something looked too good to be true, it generally was.

"What's on your mind, Kami?" Ibara asks in a concerned tone.

That's another thing that has changed recently. Not only had Shinsou and I gotten closer, but also Ibara and I. After about a month of referring to her as vine girl, I finally texted her and we met up. Now we were close friends, all three of us.

"Nothing much." I wave her concern away dismissively before turning to her with a wide grin. "Wanna go bug Shin before he gets off work?!"

She giggles at my excitement and nods. Then, off we go. Shinsou had recently gotten a job at Starbucks, for what I don't know, but he seemed to enjoy it. It was money as he said. He claimed that it was just extra cash, but I saw the smile he had after work sometimes.

The Starbucks was only a short walk from UA, so it wasn't long before we were walking into the familiar building. It had Starbuck's stereotypical green and crème color scheme, but that was where the similarities ended.

This store had recently been refurbished to allow for more customers. It had a more comfortable, homey feel, with flowing, dark green streamers and dark lanterns that illuminated every table. As most Japanese stores and shops are, regardless of corporation.

It was relatively empty when we stepped inside the warm building. When we stepped up to the counter, Shinsou instantly perked up and sent us a smile. I was happy to see that is was genuine. Not one of those fake smiles that most fast food employees wore to look accommodating.

"What would you like to drink sir?" Shinsou asks in an overly-polite voice.

He was doing it just to mess with me, so I just grinned cheekily. When Ibara caught the look on my face, she took a step away and pulled out her phone. She wouldn't get caught with me acting like an idiot, but she was fine recording me? Traitor. I sent her a glare over my shoulder.

"Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want!" I start singing.

Shinsou rolls his eyes before giving in to my childish antics, "So tell me what you want, what you really, really want."

"I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want."

A grin spreads across my face when his eye twitches in irritation. I know that I could be annoying sometimes and it was times like this that I relished in it. His life would be boring without me and he knew it.

"So, tell me what you want, what you really, really want..." He says between gritted teeth.

"I want ah, I want ah, I want ah, I want ah, I want ah.... Water."

His face goes completely blank before he types it into the register mutely. He was probably keeping quiet so as not to say anything unsavory in front of the few customers here. While Shinsou turns his back to fill me up a cup of water, I turn back to Ibara.

She gives me a double thumbs up and waves her phone before approaching the counter to order her drink.

"I'd like a peppermint mocha latte, please and thank you."
