Getting back into school, especially training, was a difficult transition. Who knew that a broken collarbone could cause so much trouble?..
But, with the patience of my boyfriend, as well as the extra after-school lessons with Aizawa, I was back on track within the next month. Not much had changed otherwise.
After the confrontation with my family, I wasn't allowed back over at my family home—not that I'd complain—but all of my clothes and supplies were still there. Luckily, I had my computer and phone, as well as the chargers for both, but that was the extent.
If it wasn't for Todoroki's spontaneous idea to go on a mall shopping spree, I'd probably still be wearing the same shirt two or three days in a row. I could still remember that day clearly...
I was in the main room, studying with Shinsou and the Bakusquad, when Todoroki sat down next to me. Though Todoroki had slowly gotten more out of his shell after Midoriya and him came out as a couple, it was still rare that Todoroki took initiative to talk to someone.
But here he was, staring at me expectantly even though he hadn't spoken yet.
"Do you need something, Todoroki?" I asked.
"Yeah, it just came to my attention that most of your stuff is still at your family's." He seemed hesitant to continue, but I nodded at him to go on. "Anyway, so I asked the rest of our classmates to see if they wanted to make a trip to the mall. I was wondering if you guys wanted to come?"
My cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but I shook my head and mumbled, "I uh... I don't really have any money. My family kind of c—"
"That's fine, because I already told everyone I'd pay for everything." When I looked at him with raised brows, he waved around a platinum card as if that was explanation enough. "My father's card."
Ohh...
After that, it was just a day of overspending, buying literally anything that caught our eyes. Todoroki assured us that it was fine and that he really just wanted to max out his dad's card, which we all had no problem helping him with.
I got a whole bunch of new clothes, getting no judgment from my peers on the masculine fashion. As well as replacing all of the supplies I'd lost. I even managed to get a few decorations to spice up my boring dorm room.
A knocking at my door, startled me out of the memory.
"Come in!" I yelled as I finished tying my white training sneakers.
Before he even spoke, I knew who it was. Especially after their arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me into their side.
"Hi, Denks." He murmured as he placed a gentle kiss on my neck.
I couldn't help the smile that took over my features at the sweet gesture. Turning slightly, I hugged him back and returned the gesture.
"Hey, you're here kind of early. We don't have to train for another hour."
"Actually," He pulls away and I notice the strange look in his eyes. The more I've been around him the easier it's gotten for me to read him, but this look was new.
"Actually?" I asked, wanting him to continue.
"Oh yeah! There is actually something we were gonna do before training today."
That's odd.. Shaking it off, I shrugged and motioned towards my open door, "Lead the way."
Shinsou was acting weird as we made our way down the stairs. He seemed a bit more distant that usual, and I mean that both emotionally and physically. He kept at least a few feet ahead of me as he lead me to the still dark main room.
