Rebecca
The machine beeped alongside me, I don't know how I got here but all I know is that I'm in hospital. I go to instinctively pull down my leather jacket but it's not there, I feel my chest start to get tighter as I look around the hospital room for it but I can't find it. I feel tears forming in my eyes as I look for it, the noise of the door startles me and a nice looking lady walked in.
"I'm Laura, I found you last night."
She looked like she was a mother, I felt my heart stop. I wish my family cared about me, I wish I had a proper mother.
"You were knocked out, a needle was in your arm and you we covered in blood."
"I have a shitty life..."
"I want to help you, I can't just leave you."
"I don't need any help."
I swung my legs over my bed and took the leather the jacket out of her hands, I carefully slid it over my arms.
"I'll be fine, I always have been."

Seth
I look across at the empty seat and feel a pit in my stomach, I don't even know what I'm feeling. I only met this girl yesterday and for the most part she's snarled and got pissed at me, but she seems pretty cool. There's something different about her, something that intrigues me so much. There's a knock at the door and it's the headmaster, Rebecca walks into class looking like death and of course people start to whisper.
"So class lets not get distracted, so to work out relative atomic mass..."
I glance over at Rebecca and see she has dark bags under her eyes and yesterdays clothes on, her skin almost has a yellow tinge to it and her pupils are super dilated. I want to ask how she is but I know better, she'll just snap and ignore me or storm out.

Around halfway through the lesson she writes in my book, 'Got any Paracetamol.' I nod and grab my bag from the floor, I get out the packet and hand it to her. She pops out two pills and takes them with a quick swing of her energy drink. After the bell rings she just quietly slips out of class, once I walk out into the corridor I've instantly lost her.

Rebecca
I force my way through the packed corridors and towards the disabled toilets I need a hit, I don't care if I'm in school. I need one, I can already barely concentrate. I slip in the toilet and the lock the door behind me, I pull out a needle from my bag, it's not a lethal shot but it's still strong. I inject the heroine into my veins and I feel the oddly numbing sensation start to run around my whole body. Feeling less like shit I unlock the door and walk out into the dinner hall, I make my way over to an empty table once I'm sitting I start to observe the other people around me. To my left there's a table with three girls on it, ones got bright blue hair, another has short black hair and the other has nice long blonde hair that's been nicely curled, the next table has got a group of Jocks on it. I can easily tell that Josh the jock from the other day is gay, he hasn't taken his eyes off Seth since I sat down. The screeching bell interrupts my train of thought and I get up to head over to history.

Seth
I barely touched my lunch, I wasn't particularly feeling hungry. I head over to creative media and I take my usual seat next to Dean and Sasha.
"Seth we haven't talked since school started how have you been?"
"I've been good, but schools a shithole."
"When's it not though."
I laughed a little and I opened up photoshop.
"The new girl is kinda funky, I think she may a have a crush on Josh the Jock. She's was staring at him for the whole lunch."
I felt my hurt sink in my chest even thought I knew it wasn't true
"Well if she has then she's got a terrible taste in men!"
Sasha chucked slightly and all conversation died down as we started to get to work. We started to do what we always did at the start of the year and that was make a poster, last year we did a poster for a game and this year we've got to do it for a musical festival, fuck knows what I'm going to do but I better try my best to get something done.
"What a shit topic, music festivals..."
"Musical festivals are fun, haven't you ever been to one Dean?"
Sasha cheerfully chirped in as she started to get all sorts of pictures into photo shop.
"Ah I've been to a few and I know Seth has too, but like after all these years you'd think they'd have a better topic."
Me and Sasha both chuckled and I looked blankly at my screen, then an idea popped into my head. Emo festival.
