It was hot outside, the sun was shining bright and the heat was rising up of the concrete it made the walk feel 100 times longer and more difficult. Grabbing a basket I headed right to the back of the store to grab a few bottles of vodka and anything else in my budget "that's a lot of alcohol for such a small girl" just another smartness comment "can you fuck off buddy?" Not even noticing I turned around not in a million years was i expecting this...
"Shocked to see me Crystal?" Johnny fucking Depp in the flesh looking down at me through his dark glasses "crystal? No I'm not crystal" although not a lie he still gave me a look of 'don't give me that shit' "oh so your going to Laney again are you?" Folding his arms over his chest he leant back on his heals.... He had not changed a single bit! "No I'm not, new life means a new name" picking up my basket full of poison I started toward the check out "got a party happening tonight?" He followed me looking over my shoulder at my choices silently judging them "no just stocking up for you know?" Placing the basket on the counter I avoided his eye contact. I was NOT ready for him to walk back into my life "geez Bethanie your liver must hate you!" When I first started coming here I made fast friends with Mr Reagan guy who owned the convenience store he always gave me discounts "what liver?" I smiled innocently as he bagged up my stuff for me all he did was shake his head with a smile "let me carry that for you" Johnny picked up the bag of bottles with a slight clank "uh thanks but I can do it myself" before I could take the bag he had started walking away....
And just like that Johnny had gate crashed my life again....
