A/N: Sorry for the cliffhanger. I wrote this out in advanced and just waited to publish it just to be mean. (again, sorry.) Sorry for the cheesy title as well. It was just the first thing that popped into my head that wasn't a spoiler. Ok, I might actually release this early on second thought. Either way, let's just say I'm sorry for this, but it has to happen.

Laurens woke up with a cough. He didn't expect much of it, so he went on about his day. He had a test that day, and wasn't going to miss it. Not because of a stupid cough. James Madison did it all the time. Why couldn't he? His roommate was a little concerned.

"Are you sure? A cough can mean a lot of things. Things that could be healed if you stayed down, and things that could get worse if you don't." Alister informed.

"I'm fine. It's no big deal." Laurens protested. "It's probably just because the fan was on last night and now I'm all dried out."

"Then how come I don't have a cough?"

"I don't know. But I have a test today, I'll be fine I swear." He stated. "If I could go to school as a five year old with the flu, I'm sure I can take a test with a slight cough."

So, Laurens went on his way and went to his first class. It was just History, nothing he really had to focus on. Especially since his father was a history teacher. He was a little more concerned about the Algebra test. (For those of you who don't know, Algebra is a form of math that is useless, unless you go into a field that specifically uses math. For example, a few days ago I asked my father to help me with some homework, he said he couldn't because he had forgotten everything about Algebra. He used to be a school teacher you know.)

Algebra wasn't until after lunch though, so he had some time. But lunch came sooner then he wished.

"Me and Eliza are going to subway, wanna come?" Alexander asked.(Thats the commercial playing right now as I write this.)

"Sure." Laurens replied. They all went to subway and ordered.
They went over and sat down at a table and began to eat. They all got the meal deal, so Alexander got Doritos, Eliza got Lays, and Laurens got Cheetos. Not puffs. Crunchy is so much better. Along with drinks as well.

"So, anything exciting today?" Eliza asked.

"I have an Algebra test, which sucks." Laurens replied.

"Me too." Alexander said.

"Sorry." Eliza laughed a little.

"Glad to see that our suffering is to your amusement." Alexander joked.

Laurens kept coughing all day. He knew someone was bound to notice eventually.

"You ok?" Alexander asked.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Laurens nodded. Funny enough, coughing while saying that. It sounded worse, like he was stuffed with mucus.

"You sure?" Eliza added.

"Yes!"

After lunch, Laurens and Alexander made their way to Algebra. The grim reaper of school. Laurens wasn't looking to good.

"Laurens, I think you should maybe get some rest after this class. You look like a sheet ghost." Alexander said.

"Maybe. But I can't miss this test. It sucks, but it's essential to my grade." Laurens just kept walking.

"Ok."

When they both arrived, they split off to their different classrooms, and waited for the tests to begin. Laurens actually started heating up. Sweat dripped down his face in an air conditioned room, in the month of September. This was getting a little out of hand. But he refused to leave. He couldn't concentrate the whole time he was there. He probably would've done better if he had asked to go home and retook the test another day. But Laurens wasn't thinking about his health. He never really did.

It wasn't until about halfway through the class that a teacher noticed he was sick and sent him back to his dorm. Alister still had two more classes though before he was done. So Laurens was left alone with no idea of what to do. He thought about calling Eliza, but she too would still be in class at this time.

Without a clue in the world how to take care of himself, Laurens got worse and worse. So much so, that by the time Alister came back to the dorm, he had been coughing, sneezing, vomiting, and had a very high fever.

"Oh my gosh. Ok, you really need to like make a doctors appointment." Alister suggested. "Do we have any Dayquil?"

"I don't know what that is." Laurens said, lying down in bed, trying to rest the best he could.

After a few minutes of looking. They had come to the conclusion that they had no medicine of any kind that could help him. Alister was about to run to the store when Laurens ran to the bathroom and started coughing up blood.

"Ok, you need to go to the hospital." Alister panicked. He tried to help the sickly boy to his feet, while still trying to make a phone call at the same time.
"Jane? I need your car. Meet me in front of the dorms and bring Eliza Schuyler." He hung up and began to move as fast as possible without aggravating Laurens.

Jane and Eliza met them at the bottom of the building by the entrance.

"I knew something wasn't right." Eliza said. "How bad is it?"

They all got into the car, Jane driving and Alister and Eliza trying to help Laurens in the back while Alister explained.

"But I knew he needed a hospital as soon as he started coughing up large amounts of blood."

"I don't think he has bronchitis, it could possibly be pneumonia." Eliza said.

"Is that deadly?"

"Yes. Especially if you haven't been treating yourself which, I have a feeling Mr. Algebra test didn't." Eliza said. "Can you take out my phone and call the Washingtons?"

"What's the contact name?"

"Washingdad-in-law."

"Heh, funny."

Alister took out the phone from Eliza's purse and called the number.

"Hello?"

"Hi, this is Laurens' roommate, calling from your daughter-in-law's phone. Sorry if this is weird but we're on our way to the hospital. I can explain more there." Alister said while being awkward.

"Ok, we're on our way." Washington said before hanging up.

Eliza looked and saw that Laurens was loosing consciousness. "Hey Laurens? I know you're probably exhausted, but I need you to stay awake."

"I-I..." Laurens tried to respond but then more blood came out. Covering him with the red liquid.

"It's gonna be ok, just stay awake." Eliza tried to help him.

When they arrived at the hospital, the nurse took Laurens back right away. He let the three other teens go as far back as the entrance to an operation room, but made them stay there.

"I'll call Alexander." Eliza said as she pulled her phone out.

"Hello?"

"Alexander, I need to tell you something." Eliza began, but was cut off.

"While I have you, do you think you'll be free tonight at eight?" He asked.

"No, I'm at the hospital." Eliza started before again being cut off.

"I thought today was your day off?" Alexander questioned.

"Alex! I'm at the hospital with Laurens!"

The other end was silent for a moment before Alexander started speaking again.

"I'm on my way."
