The room was quiet, but I could almost hear the thoughts going inside everyone's mind a hundred miles per hour. Me, Dennis, Jacqueline and Alexander were all looking at Willow, who was now standing next to her sister.

"Like a vampire hunter?" Dennis asked the witches, and they shook their heads.

"No, like she's the one thing a powerful witch needs to exterminate the vampire kind." Sybil responded.

"If you're lying..." Alexander started talking in a threatening tone, but he was interrupted by Jacqueline sprinting over to me and grabbing me.

She ran somewhere, but I couldn't see anything because of the speed. When she stopped running I realised we were now on top of a building. She put me down and I saw her fangs coming out. She was going to kill me. I could only get a couple feelings from vampires, and one of them was when one was about to kill me. The fact that she had ran out of the bar confirmed my hypothesis, because she most likely did it so she didn't have to deal with the witches, who wouldn't be too happy if a vampire killed a human. Was I even human? I wasn't sure of anything anymore. The only thing I was sure of was that Jacqueline was going to kill me. She put one hand on my waist and the other one on the back of my head. Then she inserted her sharp fangs into my skin. The pain was strong, and I felt like I'd pass out soon and this would all be over. She drank much faster than Dennis ever did, and I could feel myself begin to fade away.

Then I felt myself almost fall to the ground, but like something had stopped me. An arm around my waist. I could barely see, but I noticed it was Alexander. He had pushed Jacqueline away and stopped my fall. I also saw, before my eyes started closing without my permission, Alexander bite his wrist and offer his blood to me. I immediately took it. It was more intense than Dennis' blood, and I felt more power going through my veins once I drank enough. Maybe it tasted better because he was older, and more powerful, but I couldn't be sure.

It was so much better in fact, that I started to wake up and become more conscious a second after ingesting it. Alexander was still holding me and helping me from falling. I also noticed he was running his one free hand through my hair.

"Thank you." that was all I could say once I was able to formulate words again. He had me by the waist with his right hand, and he removed a couple of hairs than had fallen from my ponytail with his left hand. He was looking at me with his big blue eyes like he was trying to transmit something to me. I coughed nervously and put my hand on his chest. "I think I can stand up now." I told him. He smiled at me and just when I thought he'd let me go, he hid his in my neck and inhaled. "Alexander." I pushed him lightly with my hand, but he didn't back down.

"Your blood." he sounded like he was on a trance. My wound was closed but there was still blood all over me, and I felt how much he wanted to drink it. I started to shake, as you do when a vampire wants to drink your blood.

"Alexander." I said in a louder tone as I pushed his chest harder, without success.

A rush of air let me know another vampire had arrived at the rooftop, and this time it was Dennis. Alexander gently let me go as soon as Dennis sprinted towards him. It wasn't like Alexander was scared of him, but more like the rush of air had helped him snap out of it. Dennis ignored the fact that I was in Alexander's arms when he came to the rooftop, and he ran towards me and hugged me. I hugged him back, still in shock. He then pulled away for a second and took a long look at me.

"I'm fine, Dennis." I answered Dennis' question before que could even ask it. "Jacqueline bit me, but Alexander healed me with his blood." Dennis pulled away from me and he turned to Alexander.

"It was a delightful experience to have her mouth sucking on my wrist with such joy." Alexander said with a smug smile. He was trying to get under Dennis' skin once again. Dennis went to attack him, but Alexander moved a few feet to his right at vampire speed, dodging the attack. "Jealousy doesn't suit you, Dennis." he said.
