Next week is homecoming week at our school. Obviously there's not actually gonna be a homecoming dance because covid exists, but we're still doing the dress down themes and having a homecoming football game. (Which means there's a pep rally, which means I have to perform in front of the whole school for guard.) So these are the themes:
Monday: sports day
Tuesday: silly sock and college mask day
Wednesday: decades day
Thursday: twin day
Friday: black and gold (aka school spirit) dayThese are by far the worst themes ever. It's ironic that they're this bad, since they gave us a list of themes to vote on. (Usually it's picked by the homecoming committee I think.) I can guarantee that on the list of themes they gave us, there was no option for silly sock day. (No one would've voted for that anyway.)
Actually now that I'm typing this, it all makes sense. They only had us pick 3 potential themes, which I thought was odd. The last day is always school spirit day, so logically we should've picked 4 themes. The reason why we only got 3 choices was because Tuesday is a Mass day (because it's a Catholic school) and they can't have people dressed wildly. So the teachers must have picked that theme. That's why they have such a boring theme for that day.
But I can't complain too much about it, since 2 of the 3 themes I voted for are here (decades and twin day) and they didn't even have to celebrate homecoming week at all. I'll just make the best out of it. My friend and I are already planning on wearing harajuku outfits at some point. Also I have my 70s winter guard uniform to wear for decades day.
