Quarantine

So everyone on color guard got quarantined because of contact tracing 2 weeks ago and had to do virtual school. This Monday was the day we could return to school. As much as I enjoyed waking up later and not having to worry about making my lunch the day before or the morning of, I don't think I could ever do virtual classes for a prolonged period of time. I felt so unproductive, even if I was doing work. I was so tempted to just click out of a zoom meeting and start playing a game. I also can't stand having to open a zoom link for every single class. I tried to do them on my phone so I could have my camera on the whole class and still do work, but my phone wouldn't even open the meetings half the time. Needless to say, I was glad to return to school. I was looking forward to seeing my friends too- I wanted to show them my drawing of wolf boi.

I got to school on Monday and went to the table where the 4 of us usually sit in the morning before homeroom. None of them were there. I gave it the benefit of the doubt- I was a bit late that morning, so maybe they left before me, or maybe they weren't at the tables that morning (that happened one day). Or maybe they all skipped today.

I usually walk with Sis to my 8th period class, so I waited a bit for her to come out of her class. After a minute I gave up- my 8th period class was across campus. Again, maybe she just skipped today?

The next day (Tuesday) I went to the table again and still none of them were there. At this point I'm almost certain they all went virtual. Then at lunch I got a text from Sis. She was asking me how school was going and if I was in-person or virtual. This pretty much confirmed my suspicions. I asked anyway if she was virtual and she said yes...

Wednesday morning and I didn't see any of them. At this point I've confirmed that the other 2 friends also stayed virtual. Thursday morning and I still didn't see any of them. I've been so lonely these past few days...
