Yesterday was our first band practice and we had to wear masks during practice... in the hot southern summer afternoon heat. (I think I heard someone say the temperature was in the 90s, but that it felt like 106 degrees.) Also someone (a freshman I'm assuming) asked if I was a freshman and I said no I'm a senior. But how would I be in the practice uniform that the freshman don't have yet if I really were a freshman? Whatever, it was probably because I had my hair in pigtails (which was a bad idea because the sun was beating down on my scalp)
