Hizashi's POV:
At the end of the day I met up with Nemuri and we started walking towards the parking lot. We passed Shota'a classroom and he wasn't there. We drove to my apartment and I could feel the anxiety building up. It was like a storm inside my head. I was afraid of Hamako and I was afraid of rejection. I didn't even notice Nemuri get out of the car till the door opened and I felt a hand on my shoulder. "It'll be fine Zash. You have this!" She gave me a thumbs up and I nodded my head.
We started our way through the apartment building and to my apartment. Nemuri stood along the wall next to my door and I walked in. I saw Hamako sitting on the couch and I sighed. *sigh* "Hamako, we need to talk."
Nemuri's POV:
I stood outside the door and listened in. I didn't know Hamako that well, but by our few unfortunate interactions so far, I had a feeling that Hizashi had a right to be frightened. I get it, I really do. If Hizashi got into a mess with this chick, he wouldn't be let off the hook as much as Endeavor or other big hero's. Hizashi already has a punk style and that how most people see him. Suddenly, I heard the elevator ding and and put cane Shota. "Hey Shota!" He nodded and started walking towards his apartment and I followed him.
"So how is it today? Is it getting worse?" I asked. He just shrugged his shoulders and when we in front his apartment, he stopped, faced me and gave me a big hug. "Are you okay Shota? Are you dieing?!" He shook his head no. "No, I'm just gonna go to sleep." He stopped hugging me and opened his door. "Bye Muri." He went in and closed the door. "That was weird." He didn't even bother questioning why I was here. I knocked on the door and there was no answer. I decided to just open the door, and what I saw was haunting.
Shota's POV:
I stopped at the cemetery before heading home. I sat by Oboro's grave and almost cried. "Fuck, I guess I'll be seeing you soon..." I said and then headed home. When I got there, and to my floor, Nemuri was there. "The fuck?" She starting talking to me like normal, but all I could think about was how this was probably the last time I'd see her. When we got in front of my apartment, I just gave her a big hug. "Bye Muri." And I headed inside.
I slowly walked to my room and glanced at the gun. "Guess it's time to do it." I grabbed it and headed toward the window. I opened it and using my scarf, got myself on top the building. I sighed and sat on the edge of the building with the gun placed next to me. I took my last moment to enjoy this world.
Nemuri's POV:
I walked into Shota's apartment to just see boxes. All his belongings, just in boxes. "Why- oh shit. Damn it Shota, no." I ran through the apartment to his room to see the open window. "... no.." I ran to the window and looked down. I let out a sigh of relief seeing the the clean concrete below. "Where did he go?" I looked around the apartment and called his name. "Shota!" That's when I saw his nightstand. On it was an empty ammo box. "Oh god." Where ever he was, he wasn't planning on coming back.
I had to think fast, "Where could he have gone?" I was panicked. Then I thought of the open window and how he used his capture weapon. "Wait... the roof!" I ran out of the room and into the hallway, I had to get Hizashi.
Hizashi's POV:
Me and Hamako sat at the table across from each other. It took a while to muster up the courage to say it, but I finally took a breath and said it. "Hamako, we need to break up..." She kinda just sat there for a moment and then broke into laughter. (A/N insert John I want a divorce meme) "And what are you gonna do when you're left all by yourself, lonely and with no one to love you?" She said, mocking a baby voice.
I wanted to look down. "What if she is right? There is a very slim chance that Shota actually likes me back..." I had a mini panic attack. "No, I won't let her abuse me anymore. "I have people who care about me, Hamako. I'm not a nobody." She started laughing even more. "Oh shut up yah big emotional baby, you're just in a bad mood-" "No Hamako, I'm done being your toy. It's all about you and I can't do this anymore." She looked really angry.
There was yelling and next thing I knew I was pushed to the hallway wall with Hamako infront of me. She was about to hit me, I didn't want her to. I grabbed her wrist and one of the neighbors who I didn't notice was watching came out of their apartment. She fogged my vision, but I heard the neighbor tell Hamako to move away or they would call the police on her. I guess she didn't resist as my eyesight became clear again.
Then I realized Nemuri wasn't here. "Where is she? She promised she would stay here..." I then saw her running from the end of the hallway. She was crying. "What's wrong Muri?!" "Shota! On the roof! He's gonna die!" She wasn't quite frantic, as she knew that wouldn't help the situation, but I could see how worried she was. Now I was too. I looked around, not knowing how to get to the roof. "There's a maintenance hatch in the electrical room!" The neighbor said pointing to watch I though was some storage closet across from Shota's door.
I ran down the hallway and tried to open the locked door before just breaking down the old flimsy door. I saw the hatch and used a step ladder to get up to it. All I could think about was not losing Shota. I felt the adrenaline rushing through me and tears threatening to spill. I finally got on the roof and I saw him standing near the edge with a gun to his head. "God please no!" I cried inside me head.
3rd person POV:
After a few minutes of just sitting there, letting the gentle wind sway him and the last rays of sun hit his fair skin, Shota stood up and put the gun to the side of his head. He took a dead breath and stood there. Suddenly, the maintenance hatch flung open and scrambling out was Hizashi. He saw Shota and he felt like he was just hit with a brick wall. All he could think about was back in UA when he was too late to save his friend Oboro, but this time he wouldn't be late. He couldn't be late. He ran to the dark haired male, wrapping his right arm around his waist from behind and pulling him from the edge, and knocking the gun out of Shota's hand with the other.
The round fired in the air before sliding across the rooftop. The shaking blonde wrapped both his arms around Shota and didn't let go. "....why shota? Why?!" Shota just stood there in shock, he was completely ready to die, yet, he wasn't. "Zashi..." The blond was a teary and frantic mess. He was so afraid he would lose the love of his life because he didn't notice just how bad things were for him. Suddenly, the weakened ravenette fell out of Hizashi's grip and landed on he knee's coughing.
*Cough, cough* Hizashi was quick to react and kneeled down next to him. "What the hell is going on Shota?!" That's when he noticed the small the mess of blood and petals everywhere. "Sho...." Hizashi grabbed Shota's shoulders and faced the bloodied up male towards him, but Shota wouldn't stop looking at the ground. Carefully, Hizashi removed Shota's scarf and slapped his hand over his mouth when he saw Shota's neck. Shota just started coughing again and held his neck as he choked on the flowers and thorns.
He then fell onto his side, not being able to breath. "Shota! Oh my god...who is it?" Shota steadied his breath best he could and sighed. *sigh* "I can't tell you." He got out. "You have to! You're gonna die! Please Shota, I can't loose you." Shota shook his head. "I'm really sorry." "Please don't go! PLEASE." Shota was a little shocked by how persistent Hizashi was. "Calm down Hizashi. It'll be okay." Hizashi pulled Shota into a warm embrace and cried even more. "No it won't! I LOVE YOU!" "W-what?" The blond pulled him into a kiss, and Shota kissed back. In a matter of seconds, he felt the man go limp like a rag doll. "No..."
