„Do you want to find him that much?" asked ChaeRyeong.

We were in my room and I just couldn't stop thinking and talking about it.

„Yes! Do you still not get it?" I started to feel a little frustrated.

Maybe because this is the first time someone seems to like me.

I think it's just normal that I want to find out who it is.

„Maybe...you shouldn't try that hard. You might scare him, you know?" she said and that made me think.

She was right.

„But I just want to know-"

„He'll uncover himself in some time... Otherwise he wouldn't even start it." she sounded really convincing.

„Okay...I'll stop." I frowned a little.

„Great! Now let's grab something to eat!" she stood up.

„What? Where?" I was not in a mood.

„Hm...subway? My friends from art club texted me to come and I'm not letting you stay here cause I'm sure you'll overthink everything again." she was right... I really would do that.

„Okay...I'll just quickly text Joshua." I was sure that he would like to go as well.

„Wow...you two really can't move without each other..." she was right again...

I guess I just got used to doing everything with him back in LA.

„Let's go!" I just quickly texted him to come and followed ChaeRyeong.

Her friends were already there when we arrived.

Don't know why but I still didn't know some of them.

„This is JiHyo, Mingyu and Chan." she introduced those who I just met for the first time and we all sat down.

„Hi, I'm Laureen." I greeted them and then we ordered food.

It didn't take long and Joshua arrived as well.

He already knew some of ChaeRyeong's friends so it wasn't that awkward.

„So...your name's Laureen?" asked a guy whose name was Mingyu I believed.

I just nodded.

„Hm...can I call you...Lau?" he asked and I was taken aback a little.

It just felt wrong since Joshua is the only one who calls me that.

I just quickly looked at Joshua as if asking for his permission but he was minding his own business.

„Ehm...yeah..." I answered.

„But Laureen is better." when I added this I swear I could hear Joshua chuckle a little.

So he was not minding his own business after all..

„Yeah...it's a really nice name. I heard you guys are from LA..." he continued.

The conversation continued smoothly until...

„I'll give you my number and we can hang out sometimes..." he said and took out a piece of paper.

But it was not just a piece of paper.

It looked identically to those that I find in my locker everyday.

I quickly grabbed it from him to look at it properly.

It really was the same.

„How many of these do you have?" I asked and he looked startled.

„I don't know... Why?" he had a right to be confused but I was so sure that I found him.

„Do you like me?" I've never asked anyone this question this straightforwardly.

„Laureen we should go." Joshua stood up and tried to take my arm.

„Wait... Are you the one who's been writing me those letters?" I needed the answer.

„What notes?" he looked a bit scared now.

„Let's go." Joshua managed to grab my arm and drag me out of there.

„What was that?" he sounded a little angry.

„What? I should ask YOU that question. I'm sure it was him! Why would you drag me out like this?!"

„It obviously wasn't him! Didn't you see how scared he was?!" he was right and I had to admit it.

„You can't scare people like that, Lau." he scolded me like a little kid.

„You can't understand me." I sat down on a bench. „It just feels so unreal that someone would like me like this. I just want to find out who is it and I don't know...thank him?"

I might have sounded a little depressed.

„Okay first of all," he sat down next to me. „Why would it be unreal?"

His question surprised me in a way.

„You wouldn't understand. You were so popular in LA, so-"

„How was I popular?" he laughed aloud.

„I don't know...I just saw you like that..." did I just expose myself?

„Well I'm glad that you saw me as a popular guy but you're not that unlikeable..." he stated which made me hit his arm.

„Not that unlikeable?! Is that all you got?!" I scolded him for no reason.

„Okay calm down. I'm just telling you that anyone could like you."

„Thanks. At least I have a friend to cheer me up." but why is Joshua the only guy who fully understands me?

„But just to let you know I'm not giving up!" I stood up cheerfully.

„Yeah... I was expecting that." he just laugh a bit and then we both went home.
