High school. The years of your childhood that you wish you could relive. But at the same time, you hate. I want to tell you about my experiences in love. I never realised how much I've changed after love. I've only just realised how stupid I was being in high school. But, first you need to understand me, before we get to my story.

Five years ago...

I was 17 years old in my last year of high school, and I was a popular guy, I used to wear my black dyed hair messy. I almost always had the newest clothes, trying to keep my popular status up. I never wore clothes that would require effort, always trying to find the lazy way out of things. All my outfits were matched with an assortment of different rings. Just to put it out there, I always showered. Because, the most important part of my looks was being hygienic. Typically, I would drench myself in a overpriced, brand new and strong cologne. Overall, I cared what I looked like, because I had a status to live up to. And to me that was the most important thing.

I remember in my first year of high school, one of the popular senior's came up to me and kissed me on the cheek. I can still remember how awkward it was, she smiled at me and called me 'handsome'. Which honestly, looking back, was weird. I think most people would agree. Her boyfriend was startled himself. He came up to me and gave me a look, one that told me I needed to back off, as if I was the one doing the kissing. It was horrible, something I would never want to relive.

Now that you know a little bit more about me, I'll introduce you to Noah.  He has been my best friend since the first grade. He's the sweetest out of my group of friends, but he tries his best to act like the rest of us—assholes. If a girl ever broke his heart, he would be the one running up and apologising. Noah's also the smartest, he was always the top of our classes. He's a natural genius. I will never understand how he had the time, we both played basketball, we both hung out all day long, yet he had homework done quicker than it was assigned. It's crucial to know, he had a girlfriend but she shattered his heart and ever since that, he never cared for a girlfriend.

It was my last year and I was getting ready to get to school. The first day of school are always the best. I try my best to keep up my reputation—wearing the best clothes, showing off my body even fully clothed. It's silly looking back now, but it's who I was. I almost always started the year off with a polo shirt, fancy trousers and shoes. I thought it would help me seem like a 'model' student. I tied it all together with a brand new Gucci bag—horrible I know.

I stole a smoothie out from the fridge and pulled out a protein bar to eat with it. Noah, cat called me, whistling from the door.
"I can't tell, are you off to school or a date?" he asked, smiling.
"You dick, of course I'm going to school." I tell him, rolling my eyes and undoing the protein bar.
"Couldn't tell. Don't eat all the protein bars, where's mine?" he said chuckling "Oh, how's it going with your crush then?" he asks, taking a chunk out of the bar.
"Yeah about that, I don't think Chloe's my type anymore, I hate her extra precious eyes. "I replied, clearly lying.
"I know what you're saying but she is so hot. "He exclaimed.
"Boys, you're going to be late, out. Now! "My mum shouted from upstairs. We both laugh at each other, I got my keys and we jumped into my jeep with the roof down. I clicked the aux, blasting music, driving off, leaving the wheels to my car squealing.
