"...Gah, that was a long fall." [Name] mumbled, patting the soft cushion below them. "So it seems Shin was right, we landed on soft cushions to get here. We didn't get to see it in the game, but I guess it was the only logical explanation."Jumping off the cushion, they noticed the chair they woke up with was also on the cushion. "Whoops, guess I took it with me. Ah, wait a minute." Before stepping outside, they paused to think on how to introduce themselves to the group.
"Obviously I'm not going to fake my personality or do whatever Shin did, because that'll probably just make it harder for me. Second, I gotta make sure to not accidentally call everyone by their names before meeting them, cause then they'll be wary of me. Especially Shin and...Alice later, I guess. Lastly..."
[Name] took in a deep breath. "I have to survive this. If possible...I'll try to save any meaningless deaths as well. Alright, let's head out."
Walking out of the passage, they ended up in the central hall. A handful of people were centered around a blond man. "Eh? Sara and Joe aren't here...?" [Name] noticed, looking through the group. "I guess I got here before them. Does that mean that they're still falling...? Then that would mean that they might be on a higher floor when they did their trial, right? Meh, I'll think about this later."
"Oh, hey. Looks like another person got here." The blond man noticed, making a few people look in [Name]'s direction. "Did you just get here too?"
"Y-Yeah. Fell down into one of those cushions." They answered. "Where are we, by the way?"
He shrugged. "Dunno. No one seems to be speaking up, either, so I guess we just gotta wait."
"I see." [Name] nodded, then slipped away from him before he could ask any more questions. "Keiji is a bit intimidating, and I don't wanna be answering any questions right now. Still need to think of some excuses..."
"..." Sensing a pair of eyes on them, [Name] turned around to look at the person who was staring at them. "Kai...?"
The man with the apron was undoubtedly staring at them, eyebrows slightly furrowed. Shortly after, he averted his eyes.
"...What the hell was that about? Why was Kai staring at me?" Slightly shivering, [Name] rubbed their arms. They headed over to the right side of the room to walk away from Kai, eventually ending up next to some loud people.
"Where the fuck are we?! Dammit...!" A punk-like lady growled. Two others tried to calm her down, but it was no use.
"Heh, she's pretty loud, huh...?" [Name] mumbled. A small child holding a cat cushion turned around, noticing them.
"Yeah, she sure is, meow. You're not bothered by her, woof?"
"Eh, not really. I've met my fair share of loud people." They shrugged. "What about you?"
"Urgh...she's too loud for me, meow." He grumbled. "Hard to even hear my own voice, woof."
"Well, it is a bit normal for people to react like that in this kind of situation, right?" A man wearing a beanie stepped closer to us, joining in on the conversation. "Especially if we don't know each other and where we currently are."
"True, true..." [Name] responded hesitantly. "Ah, Shi—I mean, Sou's already here...calm down [Name], he's not a big deal right now. We're all pretty wary at the moment."
"Anyways, what's your guys' names? Since we haven't met and all."
"Ah, well, not to be mean or anything, but I don't really want to say anything yet until everyone calms down. Sorry." He apologized sheepishly. "You understand, right?"
"Same for me too, meow. You adults are all super suspicious to me, especially the old guy, he seems sketchy, woof."
"I see, that's understandable. Well, I hope we'll all get along then, beanie dude and cat kid." [Name] grinned.
"Ahaha, same here." "Don't call me a kid, meow!"
"The two seem to be a bit calmer."
Before they could even speak again, another thump was heard from one of the dead end passages, making the blond man perk up.
"I'll go check it out." He replied, heading toward the sound.
"The only people left are Sara and Joe...so that's probably them." [Name] deduced. "Guess we're doing intros soon."
