AFTER the surgery and some medications he'd been through, Heiro was now able
to go out again with his family.
His Mom said that he almost die because of the bullets that penetrated his back and his adomen. Luckily the doctor did his best to save him but then because of blood lost, he was put in the ICU for weeks. They doctor also explain why they have to put him there, according to them it is because he was still critical even they finished removing the bullet just fine, the blood lost really made it worst. But in God's grace, after weeks he opened his eyes again and had his strength back.
But despite of that he still in pain, not physical but emotional pain. He's alive yes, but he also felt like he died. No days had passed that he didn't get hurt. No one can ease the pain in his heart and soul but Heilie and their son. He almost felt like dying when he knew that Heilie was in comatose.
He wanted to give up from the pain but he chose not to because he has his son. His son strengthened him but also pained him. Seeing his son living in this world made him the happiest person alive but he pained him too by just seeing him in there, inside an incubator and a lot of tube was attached to him. His son was so tiny and red he didn't deserve a life like that. The doctors brought him out forcedly, not literally by force but it's not yet Heili's due date to give birth.
Kahit masakit na makita sa ganoong kalagayan ang anak ay mas mabuti na rin iyon kesa mapahamak pa ito sa loob ng tiyan ni Heilie. He's just being optimistic.
"They have to bring him out earlier because if not, they will be both in danger." Ani ng kaniyang Mama habang nasa labas sila ng NICU, watching his sone as he battle with his little life.
Ikinukwento rin nito sa kaniya ang ginawa sa kaniya. According to his mother he was staying in the hospital for almost a month. They also said he was really in comma same as Heilie but like a miracle, he awakened too quickly but unluckily, Heilie didn't. She was still in a deep slumber.
"Can I hold him now?" Aniya ng isang beses siyang dalhin muli sa NICU para makita ang kaniyang anak.
"Your body still weak son and he had to stay there for the warm he needed." Paliwanag ng kaniyang mama.
They where just outside, watching his son sleeping through the wide window.
They stay their for he didn't know how long but when he remembered the Mother of his child, he asked his parents to bring him to her.
When they reached the room labeled as ICU, his mother help him to wear the right clothes before they help him move inside. Her mother said that the doctors have to put her inside ICU to make sure that Heilie will get enough fluids, nutrients and any medicine needed to keep her body as healthy as possible. Sa pagbukas pa lang ng pinto gusto na niyang panghinaan ng loob. Nakakarinig siya ng isang tunog, nagmumula iyon sa isang makina na nagpapakita ng bawat tibok ng puso ni Heilie.
When they finally reached the bed where Heilie was lying, his mother who pushed him inside left him with her. Sabi ng nurse at isang tao lang ang dapat pumasok sa loob, at hindi pa siya pwedeng magtagal.
"Please be patient in this time Sir. We'll assure you that we're doing our best for the patient." Paalala sa kaniya ng doctor.
Just at the sight of Heilie lying inside the ICU made him weak. What more with the thought that her life was still in danger? He cannot endure it, if he could just, he will exchange position with her.
Slowly, he lifted his right hand and followed by the his left, he held her hand. He was holding it tight as tears started to flow out of his eyes. The tears keeps on running out, endlessly. He was sobbing so loudly. He can help but to cry out the pain he was feeling at the moment. Right at this time, he felt like his heart was tearing apart.
