AS soon as she saw that Heiro opened his eyes, she immediately pressed the button that was attached at the wall above his head. She pressed it repeatedly. Her heart's beating so fast, sweats were building up on her forehead.
Ang naiwan lang sa kwarto ni Heiro ay siya at ang anak nila. Her parents went out for breakfast. Ang sabi ay dadalahan siya dahil walang maiiwan kay Heiro. Mabuti nga at nagpaiwam siya dahil nakita niyang gising na si Heiro. Hindi niya alam ang gagawin, sa sobrang taranta muli niyang pinindot ang buzzer ng paulit ulit.
Her feelings were so random. She didn't knew what to feel. If she would smile or she would cry. It was mixed.
While waiting for the nurses to come over, she sat back to her sit and look at him with teary eyes. He wasn't moving, just staring at the ceiling and while tears were flowing from his eyes.
"H-hey..." she uttered with trembling voice. She was so hesitant to touch him. He looked so fragile at the moment.
He looked at her, still with tears flowing from his face. She longed so much to see his gray eyes again. Her tears started to burst out too.
He didn't answered, he was still silent and that was making her more nervous. What if his memories got lost? What if he forgot about her? There were so many what-ifs in her mind. She knew that overthinking won't do anything good as of the moment but she couldn't stop from doing it.
Her overthinking just stopped moment the doctors came in, she immediately stood up and let the doctors do what they should do.
She saw them examining him. They're examining his vital signs again.
"Mr. Troamth, what are you feeling?" The doctors asked.
"N-numb." Heiro answered.
Hearing that deep voice again made her tears flowed out even more. It made a pool of tears on to her face.
"Oh God..." she uttered then covered her mouth.
The doctors did some check up on him. They asked such questions to him. Hindi na niya naintindihan pa kung anong mga tanong iyon dahil nagsisimula nanaman siyang mag overthink.
While waiting for them to finish asking him some questions, she called her Mama.
Three rings and her Mama answered the phone. With her trembling voice she said what she have to say.
"H-he's awake Mama! Heiro's a-wake." She stated—shouting like her mother couldn't understand her.
She heard her gasped then afterwards she said that they were going back to the hospital. Then she called her mother-in-law next.
"Mom, he's a-awake." She said with the same emotions how she said if to her mother.
She just couldn't believe and her happiness was over flowing so she couldn't control herself.
Then on the other line she heard her Mom started crying. She even heard the sound of her shoes hitting the floor as if her mother-in-law's walking so fast— more like she's running. Hindi man lang siya hinayaang magsalita at pinatay na kaagad ang tawag.
She slid back her phone on her pocket and watched the doctors doing their jobs.
After minutes they faced her.
