Me and Harry both walk up to the small café at the desk. But I decided I was really bored of this one. Not that it wasn't amazing, I just had the same thing from the same place everyday without fail.
I stop walking and turn back round to Harry
"You know..."
"Oh dear what are you thinking."
I couldn't help but be excited about what I was going to ask
"I've never seen the city. Okay well that's a lie.... I've seen it. But I haven't truly embraced it. I haven't experienced all the people rushing around to get to work, or see the city at night, or go cloud watching at a local field that is over looked by the tallest buildings."
I make him chuckle slightly
"So you're asking me if I could take you around, on a work day. To see New York City."
I nod and jump up and down a bit in excitement, hoping he'd say yes.
"I'm mean seriously. Think about it. Like... we can have the windows down while I stick my hand out of it trying to catch the wind, but horribly failing as it's impossible, or like... seeing the roads flooded in yellow taxis and people rushing around. I want that adrenaline rush. Besides, I promised myself I'd look one day."
He was hesitant at first and probably thought I was crazy. You're probably wondering why I want to see the city with the man that almost killed me and killed my father. I think I just needed something off my mind, and what better way to do that than having my breath taken away through the beauty of NYC?
"Okay. Well I'll take if you want" he says while shuffling around in his trouser pocket to pull out keys. I couldn't make out what car it was but I didn't care. I just wanted to go and see it."
"You want coffee there?" He asks while starting to walk off
"Please." I say while following closely behind him.
He chuckles as he shakes his head and heads out the main exit at the front of the university. We walk down the stairs side by side as we get a breath of fresh air for the first time in what feels like ages.
"Where's your car"
"Oh sweetie. Who do you think I am?" He says while clicking a button on his keys which caused a black motorcycle to light up.
"And who do you think I am. There's no way in hell you're getting me on this thing."
He plasters a smirk across his face as he says
"Wanna bet."
And before I knew it I was running down the stairs, hearing his thick black boots follow behind me. The next thing I know, his muscled arms wrap around my waist as he swings me up and spins around. The wind hits my face in all different directions while my legs swung round. He was only holding me up by one arm at this point, highlighting how strong he was
"Harry." I say while trying to be serious but I couldn't help but laugh.
"Don't drop me" I shout while still laughing slightly
"I won't Ray. Don't worry I got you." He says while Chuckling to himself a bit. He wraps both his arm around me so I felt safer. I couldn't stop laughing
He carries me over to the motorcycle and straddles my legs over the leather seat.
"I win." He says while gong to the little storage unit behind the bike.
I was so out of breath from laughing that it made my stomach hurt. He comes over and has some fingerless gloves in his hand.
He slips them on and sits in front of me on the bike switching the key to turn the bike on.
