It was a hot July day in Florida. George had come down to spend a couple weeks with his best friend, Clay, and in that time, a few ideas about some good places to hang out had come up. The two had been bouncing off idea after idea, but they all seemed cliché and overdone. What was something the two could enjoy without everyone else possibly doing the same thing?
"I was looking for a good place to hang out and earlier today I stumbled upon this ice rink sort of in the middle of nowhere," Dream began. His knowledge of the local area was vast, but even there were places he didn't know existed until he ventured away from the main roads and freeways.
George looked over, balancing on a set of rails an old train had once used. His arms were spread out, his body solid and unwavering in the evening sun. "Oh? What's the place you found?"
"It's an old ice rink apparently," Clay started, shrugging his shoulders. "I didn't know it even was around here until I drove around the other day before getting some groceries. I found it just.. there, you know?"
George nodded and hopped off the rail, opting to stand next to Clay. "Do you want to walk there now? We still have some daylight left and if there isn't anyone there, we can have the place to ourselves!" The Brit's eyes glistened with excitement and he started bouncing up and down. To this, Dream laughed and draped his arm around George's shoulder. "Then let's head out!"

The two YouTubers pushed past some brush, coming up on a large building. The exterior seemed fine, with only some wear and ivy crawling up the side. The parking lot was empty, grass starting to grow between small cracks in the pavement. The windows seemed devoid of any cracks or breaks, a huge relief to the two boys. Walking up to the front doors, George noticed a small note on the door and he quickly shouted to Dream to take a look.
"What is it?" Dream yelled, jogging back to where George was standing and taking a closer look at the note before reading it out loud.
"Notice: The ice rink has been closed due to flash flooding and unforeseen damage from hurricanes. Please do not linger on the premise for risk of getting hurt by any falling objects."
Dream looked up from reading and took another look at the building. "There doesn't seem anything wrong with the building at all. If there was any hurricane damage, it would be much worse than this."
George peered into the glass to see if there was anyone inside, but it was just as dead as the parking lot. The only thing that was interesting was that the lights were still on and trying out the doors, they opened with ease. "Dream, the doors are unlocked," the Brit stated, pulling the door open a little more to make way for Clay to squeeze through. "They just.. haven't been oiled in a while."
As the two friends make their way through the entrance, they were hit with a blast of cold air. The doors to lead out into the ice rink had stayed open for so long the cold air had settled in the main area making the entire building feel like a cold winter's day. It was horrible, but also comforting in some way.
"Hey, George, look! There's still some skates in the back. We can go and see which ones fit us and then head out onto the rink!"
George turned back and looked at Dream before looking at the state of the ice on the rink. "Dream, the ice, for we all know, is unstable. We could literally fall right through the floor."
Clay shrugged and ran back to grab a couple pair of skates. "It's probably fine," He shouted back, taking a careful look at the state of each of the skates and the blades.
