George sat back in his chair. It creaked as he leaned back, arms stretched out. He had just finished recording a video with his good friend Clay, otherwise known as Dream. He was funny, often spouting tea kettle noises when a good laugh came his way. George and Clay were honestly inseparable. They both met on BadBoyHalo's Minecraft server and since then, they engaged in conversation daily.

George looked at his computer monitor and began to edit the latest video which involved him and Dream attempting to beat the game, but they were constantly flying. This video was a lot of fun and despite several almost insane deaths (mostly slamming into blocks way too hard), both George and Dream managed to kill the Ender Dragon and go through the portal back into the Overworld. It was a huge accomplishment and afterwords the two YouTubers had a blast explaining their thoughts throughout the whole experience.

"Dude, did you see they way I landed on the Netherrack and launched all the way up into the fortress?"

"Hahaha you almost didn't make it! I had to swing back around a couple of times anyway."

George laughed at his recollection of the event. "You know I tried so hard." Clay, letting out a small wheeze, stated "You honestly did better than I thought you would!"

"Good to know the great and powerful Dream has confidence in his very best friend the all-mighty Georgenotfound!" Clay slapped his keyboard and doubled over sounding oddly like a leaky steam pipe. "You know that isn't true, dummy! I have so much confidence in you!"

"Oh, just like you had confidence in me being able to kill you while I controlled all the mobs? I owned you in the end!"

George had been on the phone with Clay for a little over two hours at this point. He yawned and glanced at his clock, doing a double take when seeing the small and bright white digital numbers of 1:32am on the screen of his phone.

"Hey, Clay?"

"Hm?" Clay hummed tiredly as he lifted his face away from his mic as to not keep heavily breathing into it (in case he was anyway). "I'm going to head off to bed, yeah? It's really late and you need to get some sleep."

George could hear Clay shuffling some things around on his desk before saying, "Alright man. Thanks for playing today and have a good rest of your night." George sleepily said a thank you back and hung up Discord before flopping onto his bed and passing out.

Clay's phone began to ring. Tiredly he picked it up and saw it was George. Looking at the time, he noticed it was only 3:45 in the morning.

"George?"

Clay heard sniffling on the other side of the receiver. "George, you there?" There was another few seconds of a pause before a "C-Cla-ay?" came stuttering through the phone. Immediately, Clay sat up hearing the broken sobs of his best friend.

"Hey, dude, you alright? Talk to me. What's going on?"

It took George a few moments to respond, but when he did, his words broke Clay's heart. "You..you're real, r-right? You aren't some... monster coming for me?"

"No, of course not George. I'm human just like you."

"You.. you sure? Am I going to wake up with you over me ready to stab me? Am I going to wake up in an underground cell as you watch me from afar, convincing me there is no one else in the world but you? Am I going to wake up feeling the crushing feeling of loneliness as I realize you've left the world and won't ever return? Am I going to-"

Tears began to prick Clay's eyes. "George, listen to me. I will never, EVER abandon you. I will never hurt you and I will certainly never die on you. You are my best friend and that will never change. I promise." After a long pause, Clay continued. "George, I care about you deeply. I lo-," The YouTuber stopped himself short of completing that sentence. It wasn't what George needed right now.

"Clay, I feel like I'm losing my mind. I wake up every morning feeling like I'm lost and I won't ever find someone I can hold close to me. I'm worried I'll be left alone and I won't be able to find a way out.." George stopped for a moment. "What... what were you going to say? I didn't catch it." Clay shook his head. "It wasn't important, I promise."

"Clay."

"Don't worry about it."

"CLAY."

Pursing his lips, Dream began to speak.

"George... whenever I can record a video with you; whenever I can talk to you, it brightens my day. Usually I have a routine, but it's nice to break that routine and you..." He trailed off. "You make my day honestly a lot brighter." Clay chuckled slightly. "I know this isn't the right time and I don't know if you'll say it back but..."

"I love you."

George stopped everything. He stopped crying, stopped moving around, and stopped looking anywhere else but the light grey walls of his room.

A faint "George?" came through the his phone. "George, you there? Please, answer me. I needed to tell you. I was out of my damn mind; I couldn't hide this from you and it certainly didn't seem right to. Please just..." A sniffle came through. "Please answer me."

George took in a breath and exhaled through his mouth. "Dream.. Clay... I.."

"I love you, too."
