Rose's POV

" I was scared of dentists and dark
I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations
Oh, all my friends are turning green,
You're the magician's assistant in their dreams.

Oh, and they come unstuck.

Lady running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side,
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you when you're singing that song and I gotta lump in my throat cause'
You're gonna sing the words wrong... " I over hear The Doctor sing from the library

I head down to the console room and start to sing along.

" There's this movie that I think you'll like this guy decides to quit his job and head to New York City... " I wink " This cowboy's runnin' from himself... "

" And she's been livin' on the highest shelf... " He continued

" Rose I didn't know you liked Vance Joy." He smiled

" Well that's the only song I know by him but, yes I love Riptide. " I giggle

" I thought you'd be in bed by know? " He asked

" Couldn't sleep. " I replied

" Oh. " He says " Why? " He pondered

" Nightmares... " I shiver

I never had terrible nightmares until I met The Doctor, They're so vivid and realistic it's horrible. I rarely have any good dreams any more, I don't want to tell him that though because he may feel guilty and I don't want that. Also, I don't want to take the risk of him sending me home...

" Rose? " The Doctor spoke

" Yes.. " I yawned

" I think you should get some rest. " He tells me

" I can't, I already told you. " I state

" Come with me. " He says

I follow him into the kitchen, he hands me a basket of chips and tea. He heads down the hall to his room, I assume. He lays in his bed and pats the spot next to him.

I set the chips and tea on the bedside table and lay beside him.

" Rose, let me tell you a story. " He begins
" I once was a very, selfish, coldhearted time lord. But then this fantastic girl came around, she flipped my world upside down. She taught me to see the beauty in things and made me better. " He continued

" I don't know how she still wanted to travel with a grumpy old time lord like me but, one day I lost her, I felt as if I just lost everything. I remember that she got really ticked off this one time because I forgot a former companion and her biggest fear was being forgotten by me but, one day she met Martha Jones and the first thing she hears from her is " Oh my god, He found you. " She said those words because I talked about you Rose Tyler to every companion I had since I lost you. " He finished

With that I was in tears. I never thought I was important until I met The Doctor, I felt as if I had no purpose in life. But when I traveled with him and saved worlds I felt incredible. But hearing this from him makes me feel like the most important human ever...
( besides Donna Nobel of course. )

" Doctor.. I didn't know you felt that way about me. " I had the biggest grin plastered on my face right now.

" I hope you sleep better now Rose. " He says kissing my forehead

And with that I fall asleep into a nightmare less night.

The Doctor's POV

I put my arm around Rose's waist and she curls up into me lying her head on my chest, I feel great. It seems as if I've raised Rose's self esteem and gave her a good night of sleep. Hopefully it stays like this. I really do love Rose, and I hope she loves me too, it's possible because of what Danielle said yesterday, I guess. And before I knew it I was drifting off to sleep as well.
