3. Grapes

"Wake up! We need to get ready for TO DO", Yeonjun said hastily while taking things out of the closet.

"I'm awake", answered Soobin, his face still buried between the pillows and under the blankets. He had been awake for a while now, but hearing that Yeonjun was already up, he stayed in bed to keep their interaction to a minimum.

There was a moment of silence and then, in a completely different voice, much lower and softer than before, Yeonjun said: "You're usually the first one to wake up, are you feeling alright?"

Soobin squinted his eyes under the sheets. "I'm fine."

Another moment of silence, followed by a couple of soft steps, and then the younger boy felt his mattress shift under the other's weight when he sat on the border.

"You're acting strange lately. Are you really OK? What's on your mind?"

The moment Soobin felt the other's hand on his head through the blanked, he shoved it off and gave him a death stare.

"I said I'm fine! I'm not going to be late, so just let me be, OK?"

For a split second, a painful expression appeared on Yeonjun's face, but it banished just before he got up, turned around and walked to the door. Still looking away, the elder rested his hand on the door frame and said: "I really care about you, you know? And I can tell you're going through something. If you just told me what that is, we could probably sort it out."

That's some specific wording you chose right there, isn't it?, Soobin thought, but pulled himself together and muttered "Thanks" just before the other disappeared through the door.

While getting his make-up done by the crew members, the leader of Tomorrow X Together wondered when his own mind would go back to normal. How far could a simple crush go? He thought he was managing those childish feelings just fine, so how come they were now affecting him even when trying to get out of bed in the morning?

"What's the sitting order today?", Beomgyu casually asked when one of the producers entered the room, and the question drew Soobin's attention.

"Huening Kai, Soobin, Tae, you and Yeonjun."

Good, Soobin thought, That means I won't have to deal with Yeonjun being all over me to feed MOA's shippings.

As usual, the members took their places and were given a briefing of what was going to happen during that episode.

About two hours were spent filming when the new section began. "For this part, all members will be rewarded for knowing each other. You will be given questions, and everybody has to write the answer for each member of the group. If everybody's answer is the same, you all get one grape."

"Easy", Taehyun smirked, "I know these guys like the palm of my hand."

"It should be easy, indeed", added Yeonjun.

"Question one:", said the producer behind the camera, "What's the favorite TXT member of..."

"We go from left to right?", asked Huening Kai, who was sitting on the most left.

"Yes."

"OK, so, who is Kai's dearest team member?", explained Soobin, stepping up as the leader of the band.

Everybody wrote down on the boards they had been given, and after 10 seconds showed their answers.

All boards read the same.

"This is so easy", Taehyun insisted.

"Is it that obvious, though...?", Kai smiled, acting as if he was blushing although he wasn't, slightly touching Soobin's shoulder with his own cheek.

The producer chuckled and sent a thumbs up from behind the cameras, indicating that he approved the fanservice.

"OK, I'm next in line", Soobin forced a smile, "Who's my favorite TXT member?"

Everyone rushed to their boards, except for himself. I'm most definitely not writing his name. I could write Kai, but I don't want to feed the shipping culture.

TAEHYUN, he wrote.

"Ready? Show."

Soobin looked starting from his right, to Kai's board, and his teeth clenched a little bit harder with every other board that he read, all four of them.

"Whaaaat?", Taehyun laughed. "Me?? Why thank you, I'm flattered... Stop lying, though."

"That is such a lie.", Kai complained, "Man, you just made us loose one grape each... You're so into Yeonjun, everybody knows it... Even Yeonjun knows it!"

Yeonjun put a hand to his own chest and said in a high-pitched voice: "I'm so hurt, Soobin... I thought what we had was special!"

Everybody laughed, Soobin included. Being an idol requires amazing acting skills.

The game continued with Taehyun, who's favorite team member was Beomgyu, guessed by everyone. Then Beomgyu, who's dearest was Kai, again, again answered correctly by everyone.

"Last one", said Soobin, pointing at Yeonjun.

"Well, Soobin is a liar, but at least we all get four grapes each, cause this one is so easy too", said Beomgyu while writing.

Suddenly, Soobin's thoughts weren't so clear anymore. He really wanted to win this round, for the show's sake. Yeonjun always was clinging to him and making jokes about wanting to kiss him, but Soobin knew he was actually closer to Beomgyu. They spent pretty much all their spare time together.

"Ready? Show."

Again, Soobin started reading from the line's left to right.

"Me?", he said out loud without thinking, immediately after reading Kai's board.

He unconsciously pointed at his own board, where he had written BEOMGYU.

He turned his head to his left.

SOOBIN, Taehyun's board read.

SOOBIN, was written in Beomgyu's.

Soobin's eyes went directly from Beomgyu's handwriting to Yeonjun's eyes, that were already returning the stare. Panicking a little bit on the inside, Soobin managed to break the eye contact and read Yeonjun's board.

"Are you kidding me?", Taehyun protested. "You can't be serious, Soobin! You just made us lose the easiest to get grape of all!"
