"Amity..." Luz quietly said, the image of Amity running off with tears in her eyes engraved in her memory.

"I'm so sorry...I'm so, so sorry..."

"I'm sorry I don't feel the same."

"I'm sorry I rejected you."

"I'm sorry."

"Maybe I should've just agreed to your stupid confession...maybe I wouldn't have been such a jerk and made you feel that way..." She mentally slapped herself, sighing to herself.

She looked down and noticed a pink, neatly folded paper on the ground, the words "Today" on the part she could see.

"Was this...Amity's?"

She knelt down and picked up the paper, the "Today" part itching at her.

"NO! No."

"This is Amity's, what kind of friend would I be if I opened it up?"

"..."

"I'm just going to see if it gives me anything to help Amity out, that's it..."

Luz closed her eyes and hesitantly held her hand over the letter.

When she gathered up her courage, she opened up the letter, counting to 3 to herself and them immediately opening her eyes, taking a look at the contents.
