Luz couldn't process this.
And with this un-processed-ness, there was only one thing on her mind.
"Amity Blight, likes me?"
You see, back in the human realm, Luz wasn't really...accepted per-se, with her weird personality and her coming out as bi, it kinda took a toll on her with the way she was being treated.
Hell, she didn't even know that it was possible that someone could like her, but here she was, being confessed to by a girl, Amity Blight nonetheless. And here she was, spilling her heart out to Luz, but Luz couldn't help but feel...
Helpless?
Amity had a dark past, sure, but she's grown, she's changed, she's not the stuck-up perfectionist she was forced to be, she's the shy nerd that just wants friends and reads Azura.
"Amity, what do I do...?"
On one hand, she didn't want to just reject Amity, if Luz didn't know what a heartfelt confession was before today, she definitely did now, and just breaking Amity's heart?
Just, no...
But on the other hand, if Luz did accept her confession, it would just be a one-sided relationship, and if Amity found out that Luz said she liked her back to make her feel better? I think that...is worse than plain out rejecting her...
Luz took a deep breath and prepared herself for what she was about to say.
