Ready for School Blight?

"You think she's up yet?" Edric asked, Emira responding with her arms crossed.

"After last night? Absolutely not."

"But you know how strict mom and dad are with waking up early, we have school in 30 minutes for Titan's sake."

"Then we have to wake her up, there's really no other way."

"I mean...uggh, I guess you're right."

Edric took a deep breath and placed his hand on the door. He formed it into a fist and finally knocked.

"Hey, Amity? You up sis? We have school soon." The two opened the door and poked their hair in, seeing the Blight in bed.

"School starts in 30 minutes, do you plan getting up anytime soon?

"I don't wanna go to school..." Amity mumbled, grabbing her blankets and covering more of her, sinking into the bed.

Edric sat on top of her little sister's bed. "Oh Amity...come on, it's time to go."

Amity immediately pulled the sheets over her head, her in a pink shirt and her hair down, all messy. "I don't want to go to school Edric...not after what happened yesterday..."

"Amity...you know you have to go to school, what would mom and dad think?"

"I don't care what mom and dad think!! Luz rejected me! I don't want to go to school! I don't want to learn, I don't want see anyone, I don't want to see her!"

"..."

Edric sympathized with his sister, sure they picked on her a lot, and they admit that they sometimes take it a little too far, but they love her, just how they know that Amity loves them too, even if neither parties really show it.
