chapter two - our first encounter

you sit in the front of potions with hermione, harry and ron sit behind you. you pull out your quill and start preparing to take notes. suddenly your quill is seized from the desk and you spin round in desperation to see who did it
Y - give it back malfoy
D - why it's not like you only brought one
you groan in annoyance, everyone knows you're notorious for forgetting things. you turn to hermione and she hands you one of her many quills and rolls her eyes at you. draco starts laughing, you try to act unfazed but you've had that quill as long as you can remember and it was important to you.

——-time skip to the end of class——

after class you pack up your things and notice draco sprinting out of the class. you hastily shove everything else into your bag and bolt after him
y - DRACO
you snatch your quill from his hand and shove past him
D - nice skirt y/n
y- WHAT THE FUCK DRACO
you turn a deep shade of red and tie your jumper around your waist whilst running into the nearest bathroom. you dash to the furthest stall crying. you slam the door shut and sit on the floor, your head in your hands.

Hm - Y/N are you in here?
Hermione gently knocks on the door to your stall. You stand up and push it open stepping out.
H - Y/N WHERE IS HE? WHERE DID HE GO
Harry sprints in to the bathroom
Hm - WHAT THE HELL? GET OUT OF THE GIRLS BATHROOM HARRY
H - my sisters crying because Malfoy sexualised her, I'm not leaving
Hm - this is the girls bathroom!
Harry completely ignores hermione and walks over to you pulling you into a hug.
H - are you ok y/n?
Y - yeah I think so
H - hes just a stupid boy you have much better and much wiser friends and a brother
Y - i wouldnt say YOU are much wiser
H - well at least im better
the three of you laugh and harry pulls away from hugging you. he looks around and his mouth drops
h - wow this is what a girls bathroom looks like? you guys live in luxury
r - Y/N ARE YOU OK I SWEAR WHEN I NEXT SEE THAT LITTLE ROACH
ron pauses and looks around in shock
r - ive never been in a girls bathroom before, this is fancy, ours is gross
hm - ronald, harry get out the girls bathroom
H - okay okay
harry and ron leave and head to their next lesson

hm- come on y/n there are only two classes left today
hermione takes your arm and pulls you out of the bathroom. you try to look as brave as possible despite how hard it is.

——time skip——

after school you go to your dorm and see hermione already there doing her homework, you storm over to your wardrobe sifting through your skirts. you yank one out and try it on, you see it fits much better and look at yourself in the mirror, you hate everything about the way you look but you force a smile then sigh walk over to your bed, flop onto it and stare at the ceiling.
