Chapter 7: Reform

2 weeks later

Lorena: So, this is it? The place where it will all Begin, this worlds reform starts here!

Lorena and Clarice stand in front of a building looking towards it's top

Clarice: Yup Yup! It's here! Of course there's still a crap ton of things to do and set up before it's all useful but this will be our great start!

Suddenly Rayne walks towards them

Rayne: It's all lookin' pretty good, can't wait to see our plan in motion!

Rayne walks towards Clarice and places her arm on her shoulder

Rayne: It's coming together thanks to your help Clarice!

Clarice tears up

Clarice: Oh Rayne I-

Clarice hugs Rayne and starts screaming thank you meanwhile Lorena walked inside the building to see what the insides looked like

Lorena: Well then I'll leave those two to that, I have to keep working, now let's see, wait what's this?

Lorena stumbles on a microwave oven just sitting there

Lorena: What the? What the hell is this going here?

Lorena starts hearing a voice coming from behind her shoulder

???: Please, leave... Don't take my home away... I- I lived alone for too long I don't want to lose another home, please

Lorena suddenly jumps and turns around to see a young woman with dark black hair who seemed to be living inside the building

???: Please just go, this is the only place I've been able to call home, let me stay don't take this away please

Lorena: Hey hey calm down, I'm not going to take anything away from you, at the contrary, let me help you! Let me show you some Compassion

The mysterious girl looked worried and confused but with not much choice she agreed

???: Okay, I'll listen

Lorena sits down and signals her to do the same

Lorena: This is quite the comfy place!

???: Yeah, it's the only place I've been able to live at peace, the only place where I'm accepted, and the only place I can call home, btw miss why did you come here?

Lorena: I see, oh! Right How rude of me! Let me introduce myself, I'm Lorena Starnaly! And I came here to rebuild this place into a new start, into a House of Compassion, and our purpose is to help people like you have a home, a meaning, a purpose, to show and give love and compassion to all! And well to make the world a better place

The mysterious girl was intrigued by what Lorena said and looked at her with worried eyes

???: I- I see... Well my name is Marney, Marney Jackson and what you want to do miss Lorena, it all sounds so amazing but if you do that then I would have to lose what I call home, where would I go next!?

Lorena: You are scared and alone Marney, I've been there too, this is why I'm showing you the power of Compassion, yes I will have to rebuild and change everything you know as home, but that's only to build you a new and better place to call your home, The House of Compassion

Marney's eyes shined bright looking at Lorena as she let out a smile and started to cry

Marney: So, you're offering me a place to call home?

Lorena: Yes, I am! And I'm offering you not only that, but a family too, our family! Join us in HoC, you will be taken good care of Marney, and you won't ever miss your home again!

Marney: You're the only person in the world who has looked at me and said things like that... Since my parents died my family has never once wanted to take care of me because of my condition, ever since I was born they called me the devil's child and hated me for it, they said I would only bring miss fortune with my deep black hair and dark red eyes, they blamed my parents death on me and casted me aside, I've been living in the streets trying to go to school every day to try and get a job but I never could... I struggled to find a place where I felt at home, until I found this place, this place is special and I know for the House of Compassion It will be perfect

Lorena Stands up after hearing the story and extends her hand to help Marney up

Lorena: Then you don't have to worry anymore Marney, cause we will never ever abandon you

Marney looks at Lorena and takes her hand

Marney: I'm looking forward to it, Lorena

Lorena gives Marney a big hug, Marney was holding her tears back trying to be strong but with an unexpected hug her tears came pouring out

Lorena: This world is unfair... That's why it is our mission to reform it, and set it right, with you with us having experience what you have Marney this world will no longer have to suffer what it's like not having a home, and will no longer suffer what it's like to live without Compassion

Lorena and Marney leave the building and meet up with Rayne and Clarice who where chatting on the outside

Rayne: But Clarice, ya know here ya don't have to worry bout that anymore, they can't force ya to do anythin', because ya are ya and no one has the right to change ya!

Clarice hugs Rayne and crying she tells her

Clarice: Thank you Rayne...

Lorena: Un hope I'm not interrupting anything but I found someone I would love you all to meet!

Clarice and Rayne jump nervously and Clarice quickly cleans the tears off her face

Rayne: Ah Lora! Ya're back! Um so how was it inside?! And who ya want us to meet!?

Lorena laughs a little

Lorena: Chill out Rayne, anyway I want you all to meet Marney Jackson, our newest member of HoC!

Marney: Hello there, it is a pleasure to meet you both!

Rayne and Clarice looked at Marney with chock as they've never seen someone with that dark of a hair and red eyes but their chock soon turned into amazement

Clarice: Aaahhhh!!! You look so amazing miss Marney!!! I've never seen someone like you! You really are cool!

Rayne: Yeah! Ya lookin' pretty cool! It's a pleasure to meet ya! I'm Rayne!

Clarice: And I'm Clarice!

Lorena: Well that went slightly different than I thought, something seems off but oh well, anyway Marney these are Rayne the vice president and Clarice our recruiter!

Marney with a surprised expression to how they reacted smiled

Marney: I am glad to be part of you all and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!
