Chapter 16: Party after fall part 2

Lorena walked to the balcony with a nervous expression, her legs shaky and her movements slow

Samael: You don't have to be so nervous Lora! Come on! It's just you and me!

Lorena: Ye-yeah

Lorena grabbed Samael's hand as he pulled her towards him putting his other hand on Lorena's hip

Lorena: I- I've never d-danced like this before

Samael giggled and said

Samael: There's always a first to everything, so let's make the most of it!

Samael started to move and Lorena followed, their movements at first seemed sloppy but slowly got better and better

Samael: You're getting pretty good at this Lora!

Lorena shily answered

Lorena: I'm not that good

Samael: Says the one who's dancing better than me!

Samael spun Lorena around and as she did as if time had slowned Lorena saw the shine of the moon while her hair spun revealing her right eye to the shine of the moons light making Lorena see through her eye again even for a split second, her mind blanked and came back in an instant, the beauty seen by her right eye mesmerized her but it all went back when she returned to Samael's hands

Lorena: Sam I- I saw through my right eye!

Samael was surprised and excited to hear this

Samael: those are wonderful news Lora!!! This means your eye isn't completely lost! Can you see through it now?

Lorena looked at Samael and moved her hair from her right eye

Lorena: I can't see through it, but what I do see is someone I want to give all my compassion to, it's been almost three years since I've known you and I've always been to shy to say, but what I saw with my eye definitely showed me there's no better time than the present to say what you mean, Samael I-

Samael didn't let Lorena finish and hugged her almost instantly

Samael: I love you too, Lorena

Lorena was so surprised to hear those words, slowly and faintly remembering all the moments she spent with him, the laughs, the games and every single thing they did, Lorena started crying and said

Lorena: I never expected anyone, specially you, to see something more than just a friend in someone like me... Why would someone so great love me back?

Samael: Why? That's a dumb question, because I have never met a nicer and more beautiful person in my life than you, Lora

Lorena's tears got even more numerous as she hugged Samael back and tighter

Samael: Let's dance those tears away, Lora!

Lorena and Samael danced till their feet started hurting and then sat down on the balcony looking straight at the midnight moon

Samael: It's beautiful isn't it?

Lorena: It is, lately I've been feeling this warmth from it's light and this comfort I previously never felt before!

Samael looked at Lorena and then back at the moon

Samael: Maybe it's a sign, maybe it's trying to tell you something, I heard from your father once that the Starnaly family was founded by a man named Sat, he once was stranded in a field on the outskirts of Texas and without a gps system at the time he looked at the stars for guidance, but one thing in particular caught his attention the most during the nights, the moon, thanks to it's light and the direction of the stars he found his way back home, but the shine of the moons light let him to a small place, and in this place he found buried treasure and from here on out he started what is know today as the Starnaly family, but the fascination with the Moon never went away maybe he is trying to reach you Lora, maybe he sees what you're doing and he's sending you the best of wishes just for you

Lorena teared up while staring at the moon

Lorena: I see

Lorena covered her right eye and layed back on the balcony's wall

Lorena: I can't seem to remember much of anything about my family past, there's so many missing things in my mind and blurry things too, and even if I'm 18 years old now I feel like I haven't lived 18 years, I don't know what's wrong with me, but maybe the moon is my answer

Lorena reaches her hand out trying to reach the unreachable moon

Samael: It's strange that you don't remember Lora, but slowly I'm sure you will, and through it all I'll be here by your side every step of the way!

Samael layed next to Lorena as she moved a bit closer to him

Lorena: Thank you Sam, I- I love you

Samael placed his hand on Lorena's head and said

Samael: I do too, Lora!

Suddenly the intercom for Lorena's office rang

Lorena: Ah! I have to go get that!

Lorena stood up and ran to the intercom

Lorena: Yes!? Hello!?

Marney: Hey Lora! Where are you? I have never been so social in my life! I hope you can be proud of me!

Lorena giggled and said

Lorena: Very Marn! Very!

Marney let out an excited little screek before saying

Marney: Anyway, they party is almost over and well we where going to give one last speach to celebrate our accomplishments and who better to give it than the leader herself!?

Lorena: Well then, Alright Marney! I'll be there in 5!

Marney: Alright, I'll see you here!

The intercom light went off as Lorena turned around to face Samael

Samael: Welp! Looks like you're needed in the party hall Lora!

Lorena: Yeah, but don't you think you're staying behind!

Lorena grabbed Samael by his hand and ran with him towards the elevator

Lorena: The party might be almost over, but the night is still getting started!

Samael: What are you planning Lora?

Lorena stood quiet with a grin on her face as the elevator stopped at floor 5, the party hall

Marney: Ah! There she is! Hey Lora!

Christine: Salutations miss Lorena! We where expecting your arrival! The party has been going incredibly delightful!

Courtney: You don't have to be so dang polite Chris! But I agree! This party has been amazing!

Zack: I can't believe Marney beat me in dancing! This has truly been an insane night!

Lorena smiled

Lorena: Well I am really happy to hear this!!! I'm glad our great family of compassion is getting this well along! But now then, let's go give out that speach!!!
