Chapter 28- Nobody Said It Was Easy

As I stood there I couldn't believe what I was seeing I mean..it's not like I should be affected by it but, it was just..surprising?

I honestly don't know.

As I tried to discretely take in the girl beside me I felt like I could have been swallowed into the ground.

I know I wasn't ugly I mean I even considered myself relatively pretty but, the girl on his arm?

Yeah, she made me look like a troll- No scratch that. Worse than a troll. She made me look like a freaking rat with her long wavy blonde hair, clear skin, long legs which any girl would envy and to top it all off she was absolutely stunning.

"There you are!" Michael yelled, Almost tackling me to the floor evidently causing all the attention to be drawn to us.

Shit.

Okay I know for a fact that Luke hadn't seen me so ..time to just act cool.

"Danielle?" Oh my God his voice.

"Don't show that he's affecting you bitch!' For once I nodded and actually listened to my subconscious.

Turning around I smiled and pretended to seem as nonchalant as I possibly could.

"Oh! Hey Luke" I smiled to which he wore a puzzled expression.

Hopefully I don't look too annoyed. Wait- what shit am I thinking? I shouldn't even care. So what if Luke has some gorgeous blonde girlfriend?

I don't even care.

"Hi.." He trailed off before looking between Michael and I. Michael looked confused as he stared at the girl beside Luke. I mean if even Michael was confused then something was obviously wrong!

Yeah, of course I wouldn't know cause Luke my supposed,"best buddy" tells me nothing! He doesn't even speak to me for that matter but, his actual best friend being confused?

Yeah that was just borderline weird.

"Well this is awkward as shit" Michael announced, consequently breaking the silence.

"Yeah..." Luke once again trailed off, still not taking his eyes off me. I honestly felt too awkward at this point. I mean really? Why was he staring at me like that? Had i grown a second head or something? Had I-

"Luke!" All our heads snapped in the direction of the voice as Ashton walked into the house.

Oh great.

"Where- wait hi it's nice to meet you" Ashton said smiling at the girl before shaking her hand.

"It's nice to meet you too finally someone introduced themselves" she chuckled causing Ashton to let out his signature giggle.

"I bet they just stood there like retards you've got to excuse them im sure they didn't mean to come across as rude" the girl beamed in response which only caused me to feel even more ridiculous as I stood here in my regular clothes while she stood there in her designer dress and pumps.

"Babe are you okay?" Turning toward Ashton I gave him the best smile I could muster before nodding in response. He immediately pulled me toward him and kissed my forehead evidently causing Luke to look away.

He probably just didn't know what to say to me or he was just staring cause I looked like a freaking retard at the moment.

"Since no one is going to introduce her to everyone" ashton announced,"I will! Oh what's your name?" He smiled sheepishly which only caused her to laugh in response.
