i woke up at 11am and remembered yesterdays
events and groaned and laid back down.

"you up?" jess asked.

"no" i mumbled and she laughed and came and sat down next to me.

"go get ready and get yourself some answers" she said.

"i don't care anymore"

"yeah you do"

"okay maybe i do"

i sighed and showered and got ready. jess hyped me up a bit before i left and then i walked over to his dorm.

i knocked on the door and after a few seconds mattia opened it.

"i don't care what you say , i want proper answers" i said straight up.

he just looked at me and then at kairi who was behind him.

"i was gonna go hang with ale anyway" he said quickly and left.

leaving me and mattia standing in silence.

i pushed past him and walked in to the room and sat on his bed.

he sighed and shut the door and then went and sat opposite me , on kairi's bed.

"what do you want" he asked.

"why did you break up with me"

"i told you-"

"stop fucking lying" i glared at him.

"what makes you think i'm lying" he said , looking right at me.

"you would never have told me you loved me if you were just bored"

"well i did" he lied and pulled on his ear.

i wanted to punch him.

"you also keep pulling on your ear which means you're lying so just hurry up and tell me" i said sternly.

he quickly stopped touching his ear and looked down.

i crossed my legs and got comfortable since i figured i'd be waiting a while. he didn't say anything which made me even madder. after like 5 minutes of silence , i'd had enough.

"YOU BROKE UP WITH ME OUT OF THE BLUE SO YOU OWE IT TO ME TO FUCKING EXPLAIN WHY, OKAY?" i yelled at him.

"MY DAD FOUND OUT ABOUT US Y/N" he yelled back and i stared at him.

"what" i asked.

"he called me the other day and he was really mad. i can't risk losing my position and getting on my dad's bad side. i've worked too hard my whole life to fuck it up now"

"we're in the same fucking position mattia! you're not the only one risking shit , you're not the only one whose worked their whole life for this"

"exac-" he started saying but i wasn't finished.

"before we even started dating i was worried that it wouldn't work long term and i told you that. and what did you say? you said we'd make it work and there'd always be a way. you convinced us both that we could do it so where the fuck is that energy now?"

"this is different" he said.

"no it isn't , this is exactly what we knew would happen except maybe we thought they'd find out once we'd left. and you said we'd find a way to make it all work out. this is the moment we were talking about it. this is when we're meant to talk and figure things out but you're just running away from it"
