I Need You To Hate Me // Im Nayeon X Reader

Chapter 2

During lunch Y/N and her friends gathered in the cafeteria and sat down to eat. They were silent. No one said a word because it was clear that Y/N was boiling in anger. She was annoyed with the new English teacher. Ms. Im embarassed her in front of the whole class and Y/N couldn't even say anything back. She doesn't know why she didn't say anything, she blacked out. For the first time ever, she was left speechless by someone and she didn't like the fact that it was by a teacher. She wasn't even mad at Nayeon, she was actually enjoying that there was finally a teacher that wasn't intimitated by Y/N. Ms. Im is definitely going to be a challenge for Y/N and she likes that. But she's still mad at herself for not continuing the fight. Why did she just say okay and back out? Were her words too much for Y/N to handle?

Dahyun, Mina and Momo told Chaeyoung and Tzuyu what happened. No one dared to ask Y/N anything since she still looked angry and they know by experience that you shouldn't talk to Y/N when she's angry. They all looked at each other waiting for someone to break the silence. 

"Y/N-ah?" Mina broke the silence. She's the only one who knows how to approach Y/N when she's being like this. Mina is soft and gentle and approaches Y/N in a calm way. She is so sweet and calm that Y/N doesn't even dare to raise her voice at her.

"Hmm?" Y/N just hummed. 

"Are you okay? What happened?" 

"That new teacher is what happened. Ah she embarrassed me and I couldn't even talk back. Why????" She raised her voice. Mina was glad that she was talking about it. Most of the time when Y/N is angry she doesn't talk, she hits and breaks stuff. 

"Are you mad at yourself or at Ms.Im?" Dahyun asked.

"I'm fucking mad at myself. I just let her talk to me like that." Y/N tightened her fist.

"Don't be too hard on yourself unnie. You'll have many chances to get back at her." Chaeyoung tried to calm her down but that didn't help.

"Chaeng, that was the first impression. It doesn't matter if I can get back at her. First impression is the most important. She won and I let her win. I'm leaving, I can't sit here anymore." She stood up and left the cafetaria. 

The next day 

"How is your new job as a teacher?" Jihyo and Sana asked Nayeon. Park Jihyo and Minatozaki Sana are both teachers at the same school as Nayeon and they're also her friends. They all went to the same college so they've known each other for some time now.

"It's going well. I like it here." Nayeon smiled. It's true, it's only her second day here but she can already tell that she'll love this school.

"Have you had any hardships with students?" Sana asked knowing that Y/N is in Nayeon's class.

"Yes, Choi Y/N. I'm guessing you two are not surprised since you've already warned me about her. But don't worry I can handle her."

"Just be careful with her, Nayeon unnie. She gets angry easily." Sana was Y/N's teacher last year and Y/N gave her a hard time. She was troublesome and never did anything that she told her to do. However she doesn't think Y/N is a bad person she just thinks that the student needs to be disciplined the right way.

"Don't worry about it, like I said I'll handle her." Nayeon admits she was annoyed by Y/N's attitude yesterday, however this isn't the first time she's meeting a student like this. Nayeon has studied psychology and she can read people well. She knows exactly how to handle students like Y/N.

"I have class now, I need to go. See you girls later!" Nayeon bid her goodbyes and went to the classroom to start her English class. When she entered only a few students were already in the room, the others were still entering. She saw Y/N entering with her friends and she glanced at Y/N but Y/N didn't even look at her and went immediately to the back. 

"Before I start the class I want all of you to hand me the assignments that I gave you. Just pass it to the front." Ms. Im started her class and everyone was following well. She did notice that Y/N wasn't paying attention at all, but at least she's quiet now, unlike yesterday. 

Y/N got bored again. Why is she even in this class when she's already fluent in English? It's just wasting her time and she hates it. She wants to stand up and walk out of class but something is holding her back, she doesn't know what it is. 

"Class is done, you can all leave. Except for Choi Y/N, I need you to stay back." Y/N was surprised. This was the first time that she behaved in class so why was she asking her to stay back? She didn't even say a word during class. 

"Where is your assignment?" Ms. Im noticed that everyone handed in their assignments except for Y/N. 

"I didn't do it." Y/N simply answered.

"Why?"

"Because I didn't want to." Nayeon just sighed. She already had a feeling that her student wouldn't do it.

"That's not an excuse." 

"I'm not trying to make up an excuse, I'm giving you the reason why I didn't do it and the reason is because I didn't want to." Y/N was getting annoyed.

"All the students did it. What makes you think that you don't have to?"

"I don't have to do anything that I don't want to." Ms Im crossed her arms, this might be harder than she thought it would be.

"You have lunch right now, right? Sit down and do it now and I won't go to the principal." Y/N chuckled upon hearing that. 

"Are you threatening me seongsaengnim?" 

"I'm not threatening you, I'm giving you a chance to do your assignment."

"I'm not doing it." Y/N shook her head. This was complete bullshit to her.

"Yes, you are. I'm sure you want to graduate this year so stop acting like an airhead and do whatever you're told or you will see your graduation in your dreams." Y/N hates the fact that Ms. Im is right. She does want to graduate so she should be more careful this year if she wants to put an end to this misery.

"Fine." She said and sat down. Nayeon was surprised, she expected Y/N to walk away but she didn't. 

"What are you looking at? Give me the fucking assignment." 

"You shouldn't curse at your teacher, Y/N." Nayeon warned.

"I can do whatever the fuck I want, seongsaengnim." Y/N smirked. Nayeon hates that smirk of hers. She really wants to punch Y/N in the face for being so annoying, but she reminds herself that she's a teacher and can't do that. She just gave Y/N the assignment and sat at her desk.
