Zhong Lin had been waiting outside of the room when she eventually got out of bed and wondered why she was trying to sneak about after watching her tiptoe out.

Feng Jiu wasn't sure why she felt like she had to hide. It's not like she had done anything wrong. But the only time she ever stayed in Tai Chen Palace was when she was in her fox form, so tiptoeing was the first thing that came to mind. She made some story up about stretching some of the bones in her feet.

"Would you like breakfast Feng Jiu?" Zhong Lin asked

"No, thank you." She said while straightening her robe. "I'll go back to Cheng Yu's for a few hours and will come back later this afternoon."

"Would you like to take some food to go?"

"Actually, yes, would you mind? Anything is fine."

"Of course, I will have it ready soon."

"Thank you, Zhong Lin, will Dijun be eating?"

"No, he has left for important matters and will not be returning for a few days. But he has said you are free to come and go as you please. The guest room is yours, and you may stay as long as you need."

"Ohh, is everything okay?" Feng Jiu spoke without thinking; she had no right to ask after him

"I'm sure Dijun is fine, you do not need to worry." Zhong Lin softly answered, trying not to give anything away.

Dong Hua left for Kun Lun not long after placing Feng Jiu to bed. The only thing he told Zhong Lin was to make Feng Jiu's stay as comfortable as possible, keep the library clean and to make sure she had food sent regularly.

Zhong Lin noticed the great attention Dong Hua showed Feng Jiu. He was attentive to her needs. And as he saw the night before, Dong Hua was affectionate toward her. There was no doubt in Zhong Lins mind that Dong Hua cared for her.

"Yes, of course." Feng Jiu smiled at him.

On her way back to Cheng Yu, Feng Jiu was preparing her big speech about what to tell Cheng Yu knowing she was going to be teased incessantly about the many things she thought Dong Hua and Feng Jiu could have done in bed.

She needed to bathe. She wasn't sure why she smelled of Dong Hua, but Feng Jiu would do everything to stop Cheng Yu from thinking up some crazy impossibility.

Reaching her room, she stretched herself on the bed and waved away all her clothing.

She rammed her face into the bed and screamed into the quilt, not for any particular reason; she just felt like it.

Feng Jiu grabbed a towel and wrapped her body, slid into her slippers and walked to the bathing chambers with her eyes closed. The maids knew Feng Jiu well because she stayed so often. But Feng Jiu hadn't heard any of them pottering around. 'Maybe they're still asleep, or having breakfast.'

Humming, Feng Jiu flung her arms about her body.

When she approached the bathing chamber, she could hear footsteps coming out.

Feng Jiu mischievously hid behind a plant preparing to pounce on Cheng Yu.

Feng Jiu was so caught up in the moment, that when she pounced on the surprised person, it took a few seconds for her to realise what just happened. She screamed the loudest high pitched scream she could muster.

Lian Song had also heard a noise outside the bathing chamber, and thinking it was Cheng Yu; he had walked out entirely naked.

Cheng Yu sent away the maids the night before after Zhong Lin came to inform Cheng Yu that Feng Jiu had fallen asleep and would be staying at Tai Chen Palace as a guest.
