It had been twenty-five mortal years since Feng Jiu first left for the Mortal realm. Out of the nine cases she was given, she had only found Five. They weren't in any particular danger; the girls had done as much as they could to survive after losing their memories.

She was in her twenty-first realm, this time enjoying her little bit of peace in Modern-day Queenstown, New Zealand. The scenery was bright, but unlike the forcefulness of the Nine Heavens, its beauty came from nature. It was breathtaking.

"Feng Jiu, there you are," A soft, deep voice called out, "Will you be going out with us tonight?"

"Lee?" She turned towards the voice, "I think we will stay in tonight. I haven't seen my sister in a while."

"Okay, but if you change your mind just text me and we can meet up later."

"Thank you, Lee, have fun." He left the room, closing the door behind him.

"Who was that?" Asked Cheng Yu

"Just a friend I met, he invited me to come here with them."

Cheng Yu's eyebrow raised honing in on her friend.

"What?" Feng Jiu asked.

"He's just a friend?"

"Well, he's not anything else Cheng Yu."

"Doesn't mean you can't have fun?" Cheng Yu smirked

"I'm not like you Cheng Yu." Feng Jiu gave her a knowing look

"I beg to differ," Cheng Yu pointed at the clothes on the bed.

"Lee needed to change clothes, so I let him get ready here."

"And you didn't help him out of his clothes?" Cheng Yu dodged the pillow before it knocked her over.

"It is not like that Cheng Yu!"

"Okay." Cheng Yu raised her hands in defeat; she slowly started to stand. "Have you kissed him yet?" She laughed while running away as Feng Jiu chased after her.

When Feng Jiu finally caught Cheng Yu she heard something hit the ground. It was a scroll from Tai Chen Palace. One she recognised. "What's this?" Feng Jiu asked holding it up

"Dijun asked Si Ming to give it to you, but since Si Ming couldn't find you, he gave it to me."

Feng Jiu just stared at it while Cheng Yu waited for some emotional explosion. Nothing happened.

"Why?" Feng Jiu asked

"He only said it belongs to you."

Feng Jiu closed her eyes and laughed to herself "When I finally get a little bit of distance, he throws me a line."

"I don't believe he's intentionally trying to."

"Cheng Yu, not all pain is intentional, but it is painful nonetheless. It is a good thing I left when I did. I don't think friendship is attainable between us." Feng Jiu left toward her bathroom. "We're going out. I want to drink and have fun as the mortals do." Feng Jiu forced a smile.

Cheng Yu jumped in excitement but remembered she had come for a reason. "Ummm?"

Feng Jiu peaked her head through the bathroom door. "What?"

"We have to return. Your family have started asking after you." Cheng Yu said, "It is dangerous for you to be travelling alone."

"But I'm not alone I'm hardly ever alone."
