It had been exactly three weeks since they encountered the horrors of that arena, Feng Jiu was writing another letter to Yan Chiwu.
There was no way he would be awake to be able to answer any of the letters, but she knew that Xuan Yue was with him.
Xuan Yue would, at least, answer in his place every other time, but she had a sinking feeling that he was in a terrible state and as each day passed with no response, the more bothered she became by it.
Looking out the window, Feng Jiu closed her eyes and began her diaphragmatic breathing, something she had learned in the last few days during Dong Hua's absence. She knew that breathing deep breaths would help relax one's body, but to understand that, with a bit of technique, she would be able to do so much more.
She wondered if she should teach her father to help him manage the stress he seemed to carry often.
Still listening to the soft sounds of the water garden outside, Feng Jiu thought about everything she had learned over the last week.
When Feng Jiu first started asking Bai Qian about her wishes to learn about their realm, she realised she knew so little and learned early on that building a plan for her kingdom based on her personal life experiences without first understanding the world they lived in would only restrict Qing Qiu.
Being in Tai Chen Palace had provided her with the knowledge to explore how nations, kingdoms and governments worked, which in turn gave her a whole new appreciation for leadership and the unwavering dedication those before her had, in leading their people.
The wealth of Qing Qiu would be considered incomparable; their kingdoms were large and land vast, she had learned how her ancestor's commitment equipped the people of Qing Qiu and made it into what it was today.
It was Bai Gui's love for agriculture and horticulture.
Under his rule, Qing Qiu, was much smaller, he spent years teaching his people how to cultivate their lands, how to harvest crops and maintain the health and wellbeing of the animals.
Anything that involved the running and maintenance of meat and vegetable farms.
Bai Gui's integrity and honourable character spread throughout the realm. He very rarely used magic, determined to do as much as he could on his own, which was a lifestyle they remained true to throughout the Bai lineage.
Feng Jiu's pride rose once more as she learnt the very skills he gave their people.
"What's on your mind Feng Jiu?"
"High God Mo Yuan? What are you doing here?"
"To meet with you, of course."
"Oh? Is everything okay?"
"Yes," He took the spot opposite Feng Jiu and looked curiously at the scrolls she had been reading. "Ahh, agriculture."
Feng Jiu beamed, "There is so much I have learned in such a short time. If I didn't know better, these scrolls seem to belong to the fox tribe."
"Ohh, why do you say so?"
"Well, not that I care, But, these are first-hand encounters of Lord Bai Gui."
"Ohh?" Mo Yuan looked at Feng Jiu watching her closely.
"I'm very proud of my family High God Mo... I mean Mo Yuan."
"That's good Feng Jiu."
A few minutes passed, where he hadn't moved, Feng Jiu began feeling uncomfortable, she darted her eyes from her scroll to see if Mo Yuan was there, he was only staring at her.
