"Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary." Addison heard herself say, those words stinging as they fall from her lips. Addison's heart shattered to what stood in front of her. Her crush and her partner. Addison doesn't want Dixie to be with Noah, she wants Dixie to be hers and only hers but that's not how life works.
Addison's love for Dixie is unexplainable. Dixie always made Addison feel safe, she was always there when Addison needed a shoulder to cry on. The late night talks about the future meant everything to Addison. Their trips to the beach to watch the sunset and eat mc donalds was Addisons dreams come true, but then 1 year ago everything just stopped. Addison had no longer had her best friend.
Dixie had just broken up with Griffin and Addison with Bryce. Addison saw this as an oppitunity to tell Dixie how she feels about the dark haired girl but Dixie started hanging out with Noah. Addison started seeing Dixie less not cause she was jealous or something but because Dixie just didnt have time for Addison, it became Noah front, Noah back. Then one day Addison was caught by the paparatzzi and they broke the news to her that Dixie and Noah are offical , she wanted to scream but she contained herself.
That night, all she could remember was the blood dripping from her arms and her waking up on the bathroom floor. Addison didn't know what to do, so she cleaned up and went to bed and slept for 10 hours straight. Luckily her mother has access to all her social media accounts and kept posting thing so that no one got suspisous.
Addison really loved Dixie but sadly Dixie never felt the same. "Hey, Addison i'm really sorry. You really strong for coming tonight" Charli knocked her out of her thoughts. Only Charli and Quen knew how Addison really felt about Dixie and they seem to support.
"Yeah it's nothing " she lied. "If Dixie's happy then im happy" she said to the younger d'amelio Charli didn't seem to believe her but just nodded to avoid a fight. "Hey all im saying is, its ohkay not to be ohkay" Charli smiled, Addison returned with a weaker one.
Addison walked to the table where the drinks was served and ordered herself one. She stood back in silence and observed the crowd in front of her. 'Why can't she find happiness like the rest of her acquaintances?' She asked herself. Addison downed the strong alcohol and ordered another one.
Seeing all these people happy made her think of all the times Dixie made her feel happy. They were inseparable. They were best friends. They were dixison. Addison hadn't noticed a tear slip till she felt her cheeks become wet. She quickly wiped it off before anyone could see. She downed the last drink and walked towards the main characters of the evening.
"Hey dix- uhm i just want to thank you for the wonderful night but i think im just gonna head out" she said in a faint voice. Dixie's face dropped "But why, are you ohkay?" Dixie asked, voice filled with concern. This, this is why Addison loves Dixie so much, Dixie always cared for her.
Addison gave Dixie a faint smile "yeah, my heads just aching" she lied. Dixie nodded "Ohkay, i hope you feel better soon". Dixie knew Addison way to well to tell when she's lying and right now is exactly when she is.
After Addison had left the apartment Dixie's mind was still by her. 'Why would Addison lie to me?' She thought. She was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt Noahs lips against hers. They were so rough and dry. "I need some air" Dixie said stopping the kiss midway. She couldn't stay there knowing her best friend lied to her.
"Char Im going out" Dixie said grabbing her keys. "Go get your girl" she whispered. Charli saw their encounter and how Dixie's mood dropped once Addison left. "What did you say beb?" Chase asked Charli, "oh nothing" he nodded and carried on talking to Ryland.
Dixie headed to her car when she saw something. The car that she saw looked awfully familiar. She took a step closer till she saw Addison? Dixie walked up to the car and knocked on the window. "Addison open up, i wanna know whats wrong." Dixie said banging louder on the window. "No, go away Dixie. Just leave me alone" Addison screamed.
Dixie was confused to why her best friend doesn't want to speak to her. Dixie banged louder on the window but Addison refused to listern. Dixie felt a drop fall on her head, "no, no, no not now" she cused. Ironically it started raining.
"Addison please open the car it's raining" Dixie whined "Just go back inside" Addison said. Dixie shook her head in disbelief, she can't believe her best friends attitude.
Dixie was about to get into her car when she heard a car door open. She swiftly turned around, trying not to slip in the rain. Addison hesitantly stepped closer to Dixie. "Look Dixie Im sorry for being a bitch to you but-" Addison on the verge of tears "no buts, addi tell me whats up" Dixie said starting to get impatient with her friends actions. "I can't Dixie" Addison said a little louder "Why can't you, we're best friends. I could help you get over what evers bugging you" Dixie said reaching out to take Addisons hand. "No, not if you're the one that hurt me" Addison replied pulling her hand away from Dixie's embrace. "What-" Dixie asked confused. "Look Dixie, this thing is stupid and i don't want to talk about it" Addison said wipping her tears off. "Well its not stupid if it involves me" Dixie said rasing her voice. She was tired of Addison's games. She needed answers. And she needs them now.
"Addison please, talk to me. I love you" Dixie said her voice nearly breaking. "Clearly not the way i love you" Addison said softly. "What?" Dixie asked confused to the words of her best friend.
Addison was starting to get tired. "You know what Dixie, do you really want to know whats wrong?" Addison asked rasing her voice. "Yeah, thats all I've been asking for" Dixie said. "Whats wrong is im in love with you and your to oblivious to see that" Addison said crying. "What? No! You can't be in love with me" Dixie screamed "not now" "what do you mean i can't be in love with you" Addison asked.
"Because i have a boyfriend" Addison shifted uncomfortably at those words "Don't worry Dixie, you can go and be happy with your fat neck boyfriend" Addison said rolling her eyes. "Don't call him that" Dixie shouted. "Whatever Dixie, see you when i see you" Addison said heading to her car.
"You can't leave, you owe me an explanation" Dixie yelled. "An explanation, an explanation for what?" Addison asked back. "Do you want an explanation to why i fell for my best friend and can't even look her in the eyes and seeing her with someone else other than me and knowing she'll never choose me, because god so do i" Addison said facing Dixie one last time before walking away.
"ADDISON wait..." Dixie screamed.
Addison turned around, "what Dixie?" "Kiss me" Dixie said walking closer to the other girl. "What?" Addison was shockedby her best friends words "Kiss me" Dixie repeated.
Addison hesitated but then Dixie took the lead and pulled Addison by her T-shirt and connected their lips. Addison was taken by suprise but soon kissed back. The kiss was passionate and filled with unspoken love that the two friends had for each other. The kiss carried on for along time. Neither of them letting go, cause once they do they'll be taken back to reality and for now they want the fantasy more.
"Hey Dixie, where are you, please answer your ph-" Noah stopped mid sentence when he stepped out of the building being hit by the rain but that didn't hurt what hurt was seeing his girlfriend kiss her best friend. Noah knew Dixie's feelings wasn't that strong towards him but he never thought that she'd actually cheat on him and this with a girl.
