𒊹︎︎︎Sadness & sorrow.
"You made them happy till the end, I hope you know that" Mrs Wellington said to the young brunette in front of her who just nodded with puffy silver eyes while smiling sadly.
"Oh dear" Mrs. Wellington cried out before pulling her in a tight hug "My sweet Inez" the older woman said softly as Inez sniffled in the hug.
"Let's go back ok?" Mrs. Wellington said while breaking the hug as Inez nodded "Would you mind giving me a minute?" her voice barely came out but the blonde woman heard her. Mrs. Wellington nodded "I'll meet you back at the mansion" she said before walking back into her expensive Rolls Royce and driving away.
Inez walked around her private graveyard, the guests had now cleared up and now were leaving not before giving her a word or two of encouragement to which Inez simply nodded and offered them a pseudo smile.
The graveyard was full of people she had lost. The first loss she ever remembered was of her grandparents who died when she was only 6 years old, whom she loved dearly.
And now when she thought she wouldn't have to deal with loss anymore, she lost the two people who she loved the most, the two people who trusted her unconditionally.
"Timothee Benedict & Diana Benedict" that's the name inscribed on the stone of the freshly dug grave with bouquets of flowers on top of them.
"Mom, Dad" Inez whispered before breaking down into quiet sobs, her vision blurring as her headache worsened. Her breathing came out ragged as she fell on her knees in front of the grave and started crying her heart out.
It's been almost a day since she lost her parents to a car accident and this was the first time she cried out hysterically. The scent of incense made a bile rise up to her throat as her stomach growled loudly. She had no food to throw up after all.
She jolted as she felt a hand on her shoulder. Inez turned around slowly to be met with the eyes of Martha, her nanny and the only person she had left that was close to family. "Let's go Inez, you need some food in your system" she said with sympathy in her voice as she looked at the glassy eyes of the young one.
Inez got up quickly while wiping her tears, she didn't wanted to look weak in front of others. She nodded at Martha as she glanced at the grave one last time before walking out. She had decided on one thing because she knew how cruel this world can be to a young girl like herself.
"I will bottle all my emotions and won't shed a single tear, I will fight till the end and survive on my own" she repeated in her mind before opening the door to her audi and settling inside with a straight face while sniffling and looking at the passing trees.

Inez walked through the long pathway that led to the mahogany doors of her mansion. She looked around her garden while walking down, all the gardeners were sitting on the grass with a sad look on their faces, they were sad.
After all everyone loved Mr and Mrs Benedict and Inez wasn't the only one who was mourning for them. She gave a them a small wave as they just smiled and nodded at her. Inez opened the doors of her house which felt empty even with all the guests inside it.
She could hear chatter coming from the living room followed by loud laughters. Her face dropped as she realized she had to stay with them a little longer for company when all she wanted to do was lay down on her bed and never wake up.
She walked inside while shutting the door behind her as she started towards the living room. The room abruptly quieted down when they heard the clicking of her heels against the marble floor as they all looked back to see Inez standing with a sullen expression in the knee length black dress.
Mrs. Wellington, her mother's best friend shot up from her seat as she offered her a sympathetic look, the look Inez was tired of receiving by now.
"Oh dear, come have some dinner" Mrs. Wellington said as she reached out to her shoulders. Inez stepped back quickly "I would like to have a shower first Mrs. Wellington, please make yourself at home" Inez responded and turned back and started ascending the stairs without waiting for a reply.
Inez ran up the stairs and closed her bedroom door once she reached it. She sighed in relief as she leaned against her door and clutched the golden photo locket that belonged to her mother. Her hands reached behind her neck as she secured the lock of the locket.
She pressed against the cold round metal as the locket clicked open revealing a smiling picture of both of her parents with a little version of herself in their arms. Her mother's beautiful brown locks framed her heart shaped face as she looked at the camera with her silver eyes.
And beside her mother, her father stood with hair as dark as midnight and his lips puckered as he kissed the small smiling Inez in his arms, his black eyes peeked through her cheeks with his eyebrows raised in a playful manner.
Inez's eyes watered but she gulped it all down while closing the locket and standing back up on her feet. She walked inside her bathroom and took a long relaxing bath the whole whie reminiscing about the past, but never shedding a single tear.
She stepped back into the room with a simple faded blue colored spaghetti strap dress and combed her wavy black hair all the while ignoring the grumbling of her stomach and the slight fading of her vision. Her once silver eyes full of love and life were now looking restless and dead.
She walked down the stairs slowly as she could hear arguments coming from the living room.
"I was her mother's best friend! I should get her custody" she knew it was Mrs. Wellington's piercing voice as she grumbled on and on until a male voice cut her off.
"I was her father's assistant and a family friend, if anyone should get her custody it should be me" It was uncle Freddie, the money sucking leech she knew he was but her parents were way too kind hearted to see that.
"Oh really? And what about her own cousin? It should be me" and lastly Brianna, a young 28 year old girl who's mother wasn't even married to Inez's late distant uncle.
Inez entered the room as the whole room quieted down once again and all the eyes fell on her. "I will be 19 in a few days, I don't think I need to be under someone's custody. I can take care of myself" Inez said as all the eyes widened as if she said something unbelievable.
"That won't be the case" she heard a deep voice followed by the closing of the front door as Inez turned around and a look of relief passed her features before her head spinned "William" . Her body fell on the marbled floor as a loud bang was heard, her vision darkened as she finally lost conciousness.
