"Enjoy your first day!" Mom shouted when I got inside the shotgun seat.I just waved my hand as a reply and drove to school. I stopped driving when I reach the stoplight. I started thinking about something again.
Ugh! I think this year will be awful for me. I'll bring my nervousness everyday until the day we'll undergo the test. What if something happen? What if they can't find a way? Should I just accept the truth? Should I just let myself live with the family whom I don't know?
I stopped worrying when I heard a loud beep behind me. Oh! It switched to green light already! "Oh sorry!" I shouted even though they wouldn't hear me. I muttered a curse and drove immediately.
"Good morning." I smiled at the guard when I tapped my I.D. He greeted me back and smiled.
To Bry:
Where are you?
I messaged Bry while I was roaming around the campus not knowing where will I go. Ugh! I should've asked her yesterday. It's so lonely here. I just focused myself on my phone while walking but I suddenly bumped on someone.
"Oh I'm sorry!" I said when I noticed the books all over the floor. I immediately picked up all of it before giving it to the man.
"It's okay." He smiled. He looks unfamiliar. Is he a professor here? I don't even know him.
"Perhaps, are you a professor?" I asked in a very polite way.
"No. I just visited here." He said and left. He looks like he's in a rush so I didn't bother to stop him. I didn't get the chance to ask his name. He's a bit old already, maybe he's in his early 60's. He's so kind not like the woman I encountered at the bookstore.
I stopped thinking when my phone suddenly beeped. Probably Bry's reply.
From Bry:
Locker area.
I immediately went to our building and went to the locker area. I saw her doing something inside her locker.
"Hey!" I pushed her lightly and opened the lock of my locker. "What are you doing?" I asked when she didn't even greeted me back. I looked inside her locker and saw decorations.
My mouth formed an 'o' when I realized she was designing her locker. I saw purple things like sticky notes, staplers and clips. We don't have a lot of books this year since we're already in our senior year. We only have three books. I'm not planning to design mine since this year will be my least favorite.
"Done!" She said and wiped her hands to remove the glitters on it.
I started putting my books inside the locker before we left.
"What room are we?" I asked while we're on our way to the elevator.
"5th floor, room 708" She checked her phone for the schedule. We pressed the 5th floor when we went inside the elevator.
"Hey!" Bry tapped Noth's shoulder when we went inside the room. We sat between Blaze and Noth.
"Hi! How's vacation?" I asked Blaze when I noticed him staring at me.
"Well, it's kind of good. I usually hangout with my girlfriend." He said. I tried to face the opposite side to hide the smile forming on my face.
"Really? Is she pretty?" I asked sarcastically so we would have a topic before the class starts.
"Yeah. Looks like a princess. Her mom and dad were very kind to me." He smiled like he understands that we're gonna talk about it sarcastically. "She looks good when she's with her house clothes." He added.
