Years..... years ago when I last feel this kind of comfort.Flashbacks.... played in my mind.
'Do you want to make it real?'
'I love you'
Blaze...... it's been a long time.
"Where have you been? I missed you." I pursed my lips while still wrapping my arms around him. I'm still resting my head on his shoulders while we're dancing at the center of the ballroom. I don't care if people will wonder why I'm crying.
"Sorry for leaving you." He caressed my hair. I let go of his hug and danced with him. I want to see the face I've never seen a long long time ago. "Don't cry." He chuckled and wiped my tears with his thumb.
"So Blaze... I mean.... Prince Wayne?" I chuckled, trying to process everything in my mind. He's a prince.
"Yes? Princess Brooklyn?" He imitated my voice.
"Ugh! Why didn't you tell me! You're a prince, you should've visited me here." I said and looked up, stopping the tears that threaten to fall.
"Sorry, I'm also busy, okay." He laughed at me.
"Why are you crying?" Mother asked me when we got back to our table after our dance.
"Mother! He's the guy I'm talking about way back in high school!" I complained and laughed.
"Really? That's great. So I assume that you two knew each other very much?" Mother looked so happy.
"I've seen you before Brooklyn." Queen Vrecia, told me, like she was surveying me from head to toe.
"Yes. At Wilsania. I've been there before when I was still a commoner." I smiled at her, remembering the moment that the Queen of Wilsania looked at me.
"Oh! That's why I felt different that day! Because when I saw you, you really look like a princess, like your mom." She laughed. I can see Blaze's features on her and half of his features on his dad.
So... what happened to her mom? And Theodore? They're not his real family?
"Germaia!" I ran towards her when I saw her inside my room. The party just ended so I just went back to my room to rest.
Blaze—I mean Prince Wayne promised me that he'll meet me tomorrow so we could talk. Everything went so fast. We didn't had a time to talk.
"What?" She immediately hide inside my closet because she knew that I'm gonna push her.
"Hey! I'm going to say something important! I'm serious! Come on!" She has no choice but to go out since I need to get a vintage nightgown so I can change before sleeping.
"What is it?" She ran so fast to the couch and covered herself with the pillow, afraid that I might jump on her.
"Chill!" I can't stop laughing! "I saw Blaze!" I giggled.
"What do you mean? He's not allowed here right? There's no commoner invited." She rolled her eyes.
"Blaze? Nah! It's Prince Wayne!" I said making her brows furrowed, confused a bit. "Blaze is a prince. He's Prince Wayne of Wilsania!" I threw the pillow to her from my bed.
"What the.... are you serious? Does that mean.... he's the one who's your marrying?" Her mouth formed an 'o' when she already realized what's happening.
"Yes." I let out a heavy breath and smiled.
"Oh my gosh! Is he with Noth?" Ugh! This lady right here misses her boyfriend I mean... 'ex-boyfriend'
"I didn't saw him earlier. I don't think he's still with Noth." Her face suddenly changed into a disappointed one. I don't want to get her hopes up. I'm not really sure if Noth was there, I didn't saw him.
"Hey. Just wish he's with Wayne. Maybe he didn't attend earlier." I tried to make her feel better.
"Hi... Princess Brooklyn." Blaze— I mean... Prince Wayne smirked when he saw me going down the staircase.
My gaze went from him to the man behind him.... Anton?
"Uh... do you know each other?" Maybe they just got here at the same time?
"Yes, he's my friend that I was about to refer to you but surprisingly... you know each other." Anton chuckled but I know he's hurt. He... confessed his feelings to me the day before yesterday, but I told him we can just continue as best friends since there's no way to break this arrangement.
"Uh... hello." I waved my hand. Wayne reached for my hand and kissed it. I saw Anton scoffed and communicate with me with his eyes that he's gonna leave first to give us privacy.
"So.... hi? I guess? Long time no see." I chuckled. We're both sitting here at the swinging bench.
"How are you?" He open up a topic.
"Fine? Great? So much better that... I saw you again." I sighed. "How about you?" I asked back.
"Better. Happy to meet you again." He looked at me and smiled.
"What about..." I licked my lower lip, thinking if I should ask him about it or not. "About... Theodore and your mom?" I had the guts to ask him that huh? I know it must've been hard for him to leave them.
"They're fine. I'm visiting them once a week." He answered.
"So.... you're also a member of a royal family huh? We're still young when we last met. I'm still immature that time." I chuckled remembering the things and cheesy things we have said to each other.
"Yeah, I wasn't there during your coronation thing." He laughed.
"It's fine. I don't even know that you still exist." I joked. "You must've been through a lot." I looked a bit worried. I felt bad for not being there for him during his worst times.
He's there when I lost mom and dad. He's always there to comfort me when I'm too occupied with the things that's going on. Blaze was there... all the time. He never left me. But me... I don't even know what I did to give back all the efforts he did for me. He promised mom and dad to make me happy. I promised his dad and mom that... I'll make him happy as much as I can, yet I'm not there during those hard times.
"Come have dinner with us." I invited him after a few hours of talking and reminiscing some memories.
"Mother, Wayne is here." I smiled and gestured him to sit beside me.
"A pleasure to meet you, Duchess Breipeia." He lightly bowed in front of Breipeia when she took a seat.
"Ohh... so you're Prince Wayne... from Wilsania right?" She said and bowed in front of Wayne as well.
"Yes." Wayne smiled at her. We're just waiting for father to come so we could start eating.
"You're handsome, are you single?" Breipeia smiled in a seducing way. What the heck? Maybe she did attend the party yesterday that's why she doesn't know anything about the arrangement.
"Breipeia." Mother scoffed. "He's going to marry your sister." Mother said making Breipeia's mouth form an 'o'.
"I'll make sure that you won't take that throne." Breipeia threatened me after the dinner.
