Thirty-Five

"Merry Christmas Germaia!!!" I woke up from an afternoon nap by myself today since I'm really excited. Mother and father invited tons of people again of course.

"It's snowing." She said and pointed at the window. There's a moist already. It's snowing that's why it's cold even when the AC is off.

"What should I wear today? Hmm?" I walked inside my closet with my bathrobe on.

"I don't know. There are tons of choices, yet you can't choose one. You can just wear your bathrobe if you want." She chuckled making me roll my eyes.

I ended up wearing a red dress ending inches below my knees. Of course it's a balloon style because Germaia told me to put petticoat inside so it won't look plain. I wore my hair in a bun with some strands of hair falling in front of my face.

"Let's go." I said and she opened the door for me to go first.

"Wow!" I saw the big chandelier at the center as well as the decorations everywhere! The palace looks like a store of decorations hahahaha.

"Hello! Merry Christmas!" I told the visitors who's talking at the hallway. They were all holding a glass of champagne, having fun in each corner of the palace. It feels so nice seeing lots of people having fun today.

"Hey, my fiancée." Someone grabbed my waist. Oh! It's Wayne.

"You're early huh." I chuckled and went down the stairs with him.

We stopped going down when the kids started teasing us, making our brows furrowed. "You're both standing under the mistletoe." The old man chuckled and pointed at the mistletoe above us.

"Kiss!" The kids were already teasing us. It's a tradition that if the couple stopped under a mistletoe, they should kiss.

"Okay." Wayne shrugged and gave me a short kiss. I saw the old man covered the eyes of the kids.

We greeted the visitors when we got down the stairs. "Merry Christmas! Enjoy!" I told them.

"Where's mother and father?" I asked the palace maids who's serving the wine and champagnes.

"There." She pointed at the table on the side. They were chatting with Wayne's parents.

"Good evening, Your Majesty." I bowed in front of them.

"Can you play the Piano for us?" Queen Vrecia told me.

"Of course." I smiled and gestured Wayne to go with me.

"You know how to play that right? I'm still not used to it. Just play it with me." I said.

"Okay, okay." He chuckled. We went at the center where the Piano is.

The people gave us a round of applause after we played.

"Did you bring Xyth with you?" I asked Wayne while we're finding something to eat.

"Yes, he's there." He pointed at the side. My mouth formed an 'o' when I saw Germaia talking to Xyth already. I thought Germaia would be lonely this Christmas Hahahahaha.

"Mother." I called her.

"What is it dear?" She smiled and took a sip on her wine.

I showed her my hands that has the ring on it. She's confused a bit at first but her lips parted when she realized what does it mean.

"Really?" She smiled so wide.

I nodded as an answer. She embraced me and pulled me to their table to show Wayne's parents the ring.
