"Is she the long lost princess?""Oh! Princess Brooklyn right?"
"Do you think she's lying?"
"I heard her bestfriend turns out to be her personal maid." I heard the girl laugh making me glare at her. What I hate the most is saying bad things about the people I love.
We just took a seat. My classmates were greeting me like I'm a new student for them. "Hey! No need to be so formal! You can still treat me the way you treat me before." I made it clear to them because they look so scared talking to me like I would eat them.
"What does the palace looks like?" Ana asked me while waiting for our teacher.
"It's big." I chuckled. They were asking me about stuffs they were curious of.
"Good morning, Princess Brooklyn." The lady at the cafeteria greeted me.
"No need to be so formal. Just call me Brooklyn. It's fine with me." I whispered since we're with the bodyguards again behind us.
"Can we?" Ana asked me while we're eating here at the cafeteria. One of the bodyguards cleared his throat because they know that I'm gonna let them.
"Can you please let them? They're my friends." I told the bodyguards. They just nodded. I haven't heard their voices yet. Do they have voice? They're so cold to be with. They will just nod, clear their throat, shook their heads and move. Are they even humans? Ugh!
"Uh... where's Blaze and Noth by the way?" I asked Germaia and Ana while we're eating.
"We don't know. I heard they transferred school already." Ana shrugged. What? He transferred school without letting me know? Even Noth?
"Noth informed me about that." Germaia said.
"Then why you didn't tell me?" I scoffed in disbelief.
"Blaze said not to let you know." She said making my brows furrowed. Why? Did he think I'm gonna stop him? I mean I'm not used to going inside the classroom without someone teasing me. I miss those days. The days the we're all happy. The days that we're together.
I can't deny the fact that I miss his presence. I miss... I really miss him.
"Wait here, we forgot something. We'll be fine. We just need to do some extra works." I told the bodyguards and they nodded.
I told Germaia that I want to visit Aunt Eunice today. We need to be quick or else the bodyguards will look for us. We left the school using the other exit.
"Auntie!" I called Aunt Eunice when we arrived at their house.
"Crantia! I mean... Princess Brooklyn." She even bowed in front of me but I stopped her.
"It's fine! You can call me in any name you are comfortable." I chuckled and hugged her. It's been a while.
"How's the palace?" She asked while preparing our juice.
"It's.... big? New?" I tilted my head a little. I mean... there's nothing new. It feels like home. Because I'm with my family.
"You better be used to it." She laughed and placed the drinks in front of us.
"Yeah. Used to see my step sister." I laughed and rolled my eyes.
"Who is it?" She said while getting the cookies from the oven.
"Duchess Breipeia." I said and got a cookie from the tray.
"Oh... really? She's your step sister?" Aunt Eunice sat down in front of us to join us to eat.
