A-anton...You were there when I needed someone to talk to. You were there when I don't know what to do as a princess. You always make me happy... you helped me become a better princess I should be.
Remember... what you said?
"I would be always here in every step of your life." I mocked him. My tears were continuously falling while I'm here... kneeling down in front of his...
Grave.
Sorry.... you have nothing to do with all of this. This is all my fault. I continue blaming myself while staring at his grave.
"Always r-remember... you'll always be in my heart." I wiped my tears and stood up to go back to the palace since they told me that the cops were waiting for me there. They're gonna ask me some questions so they could trace where Breipeia is.
Why do people kept leaving me! I stifle a sob while looking outside. I'm inside the car, on my way back to the palace.
"Are you okay?" I saw Wayne immediately stood up and checked on me.
"I'm fine." I smiled to assure him.
"Good afternoon, Your Royal Highness." They all bowed before I took a seat.
"Ma'am, we're just gonna ask you some questions about what happened." The police started.
"First of all, you already told us that it's the Duchess Breipeia who did all of this right?" The police made sure.
"Yes." I nodded.
"We already caught all of her men but they all don't know where the Duchess is. By any chance, did you see something strange in the house?" They asked me while writing something on their book.
"No. I didn't see anything. I just saw a picture of me, mother and father. It's like their targets were planned." I shrugged and furrowed my brows. There were nodding lightly and writing down important details while I was telling them something.
"Are you okay? We were so worried about you." Mother walked towards me and gave ma kiss on my forehead when the cops left the palace.
"I'm fine. Promise me that you both will be always safe. I know one of us will be her next target." I reminded them.
"Whenever you'll go out, bring your bodyguards with you okay?" Mother reminded me and I nodded to assure her.
"Hi, sorry I don't have time to talk to you. I was just... too occupied these days." I apologized to Wayne when I saw him waiting for me at the garden.
"It's fine, I understand. Always remember, I'm here for you. If you need someone, just talk to me, I'm ready to listen whenever and wherever it is." He gave me an assuring smile.
I let out a sigh, I leaned my head against his shoulders while watching the birds and butterflies fly around. I hope... everything will be like this. Peaceful... just the sounds of nature.
"Want to go somewhere?" He asked. I agreed to it but of course I promised mother to let the bodyguards go with me for my own safety. We'll never know if Breipeia was just watching us.
"Remember?" We went inside the souvenir store where we went before when we're still young.
"The tiara!" I pointed at the limited edition tiara I was pointing before.
"I told you, it's similar to the tiara you're wearing that's why it's expensive." He pointed at the tiara I'm wearing.
Right! It was the tiara of.... Princess Brooklyn... the person they thought who died. But here.. I am... standing here... breathing. An unexpected happening that changed my life.
