"So.."
"So.."
"You and Potter eh?" said Narcissa with a raised brow, looking at her cousin who was writing a letter to Bellatrix.
"yes..no..I don't know" responded the girl placing her quill down on the desk.
"You don't know?"
"Well it's not like we're together as such..we've just snogged a few times and I may or may not have agreed to go on a date with him.." said Cassiopeia with a blush.
"Oh how exciting!" exclaimed Narcissa "What will you wear?" she smiled wide eyed
"I dunno..nothing fancy we're only going Hogsmeade." she shrugged
The room became quiet and Narcissa's mind appeared to be lingering on a thought or question Cassiopeia noticed the look of deep thought on her cousins face and raised an eyebrow at the blonde.
"What?" she said
"Do you like him?" Narcissa asked with furrowed brows
"Yeah...I do" nodded Cassiopeia smiling at the thought of James Potter
"Do you like him enough to leave? Home I mean..your parents..the life they have set out for you...like Sirius did."
Cassiopeia thought about it for a moment, she thought of her brother Regulus, and her friends, and her cousins who she loved all so dearly. Then she thought of her brother Sirius, and her other friends like Peter, Lily, Remus and..James. Oh she thought of James and his annoyingly messy hair that he refused to keep neat, and that snitch he always carries around despite being a chaser, and the way his glasses always slid down his nose ever so slightly and he'd have to push them back up, his crooked grin she'd grown to love so much, and his hazel eyes that she couldn't help but, adore.
James Potter could give her the life she always wanted, one where she was free to make her own choices, where she was happy, where she had Sirius her brother, her twin, her other half, a life where she would be complete again, where she could be happy. James Potter made her happy. But if she chose to make this choice out of the two she had..she'd have to leave regulus behind, and Narcissa..if she made this choice Regulus would surely never speak to her again. She wasn't sure if she could lose her little brother, and Narcissa..was not only her cousin but her best friend. Her relationship with the girl would never be the same again. Sure she would be free from the tight hold her parents had over her, the life of darkness that she so desperately wanted to avoid. But she wouldn't have her family. So Cassiopeia asked herself would she leave? or would she stay? Would she allow herself to be happy with James Potter or would she stay? and accept the life she is given with no complaints and sit still doing nothing and looking pretty, raising her children to lead the same sad life as she. Of course the latter would be easier but the former would be much more enjoyable. Did she like James Potter enough to leave it all behind and be a little selfish just once?
"I don't know.." whispered the girl
"Do you want to leave?"
"More than you could ever imagine." she replied
"Then why don't you?"
"I can't leave you and Reg behind."
"You have to be a little selfish sometime Cass."
"Not today."

"Ready to go?" James smiled at the raven haired girl in front of him who was grinning up at him with her charming smile easily more attractive than any Veela.
When James Potter looked at Cassiopeia Black he saw his future, he saw hope a light in the dark times that were brewing in the outside world. He saw an angel. Someone who had come to save him from his demons, someone who could make him happy. When James Potter saw Cassiopeia Black he saw the stars, she made him feel alive, unstoppable she made him feel like he was on top of the world.
"Yes." she smiled back up at him.
"Cass"
"James."
"I'm gonna make you fall in love with me." he grinned
"Are you now?" she laughed
"Yeah I am, and I'll make you feel like the happiest girl in the world."
"I'm counting on it Potter." she grinned pulling him along through the streets of Hogsmeade.
The two ran around Hogsmeade giggling like maniacs receiving strange looks from various witches and wizards who lived in the small village. Cassiopeia grabbed the boys hand pulling him into the three broomsticks whispering in his ear. "Watch this." as she sauntered up the the bar speaking with the male bartender. "Two firewhiskeys please?" she orders.
"Do you have proof you're seventeen?" said the man not looking up at the girl once making James snort as Cassiopeia's smirk dropped.
"I hardly believe that's necessary." purred the girl as she bit her lip leaning over the counter slightly making the man look up wide eyed as they made eye contact.
"And what's in it for me?" he flirted making Cassiopeia nearly vomit in her mouth as the fought the urge to puke.
"Anything you want." she flirted back, by now James was red trying to contain his laughter.
"Coming right up" gulped the man as he looked at the girl. James joined the girls side looking at her with an amused expression.
"That was brilliant" he let out his laugh
"What can I say I'm just fabulous" she winked jokingly at the boy then the man came back with two firewhiskeys in his hand, placing them on the bar in front of the girl.
"So...gonna come back here and make it worth my while?" flirted the man making Cassiopeia smirk as she leant over the bar close to the mans face.
"Im sixteen perv." she said grabbing the glasses handing one to James and flipping the man off.
The two ran off with the drinks in hand laughing hysterically as they moved to a booth at the back of the pub.
"You're brilliant" he smiled at the girl making her blush something she tried to hide but James noticed "Are you blushing?" he chuckled
"N-no!" she said hastily turning away from you boy
"You are!" he laughed smiling at her "Don't hide it" he said softly "It's cute." he said putting a hand on her cheek and moving her head to face him.
"I'm not cute" she whispered as they locked eyes, hazel clashing with grey as they inched closer together, this lips barely brushing his hot breath fanning her face and he leant forward closing the gap between them as they kissed. the kiss was different to the previous ones they had shared it was more meaningful, yesterday he kissed her with lust but today he kissed her with love.
The kiss was soft and gentle as their lips moved in sync slowly with each other. The two teens were falling in love and they didn't know how or why, but it just seemed so right. Like it was meant to be, James Potter wondered where Cassiopeia Black had been hiding for the past six years of his life. Why hadn't he noticed her before? Why was he so blinded by a red head that he never saw the raven haired beauty standing right under his nose?
James broke the kiss resting his forehead against hers as they smiled completely smitten with each other.
"I fancy you." Cassiopeia admitted making a huge grin spread out onto the boys face as he leant forward and captured her lips with his again.
"I fancy you too."
