Cassiopeia was laying under a tree with her head in James' lap as he played with a snitch he stole. She admired him from the angle she was at taking in his jawline, messy hair and beautiful hazel eyes, his pale complexion and his plump and certainly kissable lips. Cassie sat up looking at the boy making him groan in annoyance feeling the weight of her disappear from his lap.
"What did you move for?" he groaned
"Wait." she said holding up a hand and continued to stare at the boy.
"What are you doing?" he said with furrowed brows as she continued to stare.
"You're so fit. I don't understand why Evans never said yes to a date with you." she said confused making the boy chuckle.
"I'm glad she didn't" he grinned "Because then I wouldn't have you." he smiled grabbing her waist and kissing her softly. "I'm gonna ask you to be my girlfriend soon." smiled the boy "And it's gonna be brilliant"
"Why don't you just do it now?" she asked amused climbing onto the boys lap pecking his nose.
"Because it has to be perfect. Speaking of what's your favourite meal, drink and flower?"
"I like muggle chinese food and I love butterbeer and I think my favourite flower has to be roses."
"Roses." snorted James "Thats so basic."
"No. Theres just something so beautiful about roses Yano? Did you know they are the symbol of love, and the different colours represent different things, naturally you find roses that are white yellow pink and orange, black and blue do not exist unless you make them artificially. Red roses represent love, beauty and perfection, orange roses represent life, energy, passion and excitement, yellow roses represent friendship, joy and gladness, white represent, purity, innocence grace and humility, pink represent, admiration, joy, and appreciation and sometimes lavender roses can represent desire and love at first sight often used to tell someone that you are enchanted by them." explained the girl whilst James listened with a small smile on his face as she spoke about her favourite flower "Roses are the language of love. They can be used to represent to many things, that words can not. Which is why I find them charming." concluded the girl
"That is adorable." laughed James "You are adorable." he smiled kissing her sweetly she wrapped her arms around his neck depending the kiss and pulling him down onto the grass with her as they continued to kiss.
"Whats up lovebirds!" called Sirius waltzing up to the two making James groan in annoyance and pull away from Cassie.
"What do you want Sirius." huffed James
"Yeah piss off we're busy" frowned Cassiopeia pulling James down into another kiss.
"Oh how you wound me Cass" sighed Sirius dramatically placing a hand on his heart as Remus sent the couple an apologetic look.
"What do you want Sirius?" sighed Cassiopeia sitting up as James wrapped an arm around her shoulders pulling her into his side. "And where's Peter?" frowned the girl
"Detention" shrugged Remus
"Anyway, I need a favour." Begged her twin
"What is it?" sighed the Raven haired beauty in defeat
"What's the password to your common room?"
"Mudblood"
"Cass!" exclaimed the boys in unison looking at the girl scandalised
"What?" the girl asked defensively "That's the password!- don't look at me I didn't choose it!"
"Alright." sighed Sirius
"Of course that's the password" scoffed James "Should've know it would be something like that mate." said the boy making Remus' eyes widen and Cassiopeia's brow furrow as he continued "It's the Slytherin common room."
"And what's that supposed to mean?" frowned Cassiopeia sitting up from the boy
"Well they're all the same ain't they." shrugged James "They're all a bunch of stuck up, snobby, supremecist, pricks." each word hurt Cassiopeia but James failed to take notice "There's not one witch or wizard that hasn't gone bad from that house."
"James-" Remus tried to stop the boy seeing the. hurt in Cassies eyes and the boy continued
"No Moony you know it's true" he laughed "I hate every single one of them, no one can change my mind about that, they're knob heads the lot of em"
"Prongs I don't think-" Sirius cut in as he watched his sister gather her bags
"Nah come on mate, you hate them just as much as I do. Can't stand the bastards not a single one of them, they're all pricks. Waltzing around hexing muggleborns thinking they're better than everyone, they're arseholes."
"Not all Slytherins are bad" defended Remus "Theres some proper nice ones, you just don't speak to enough to know"
James scoffed at this "The day I associate myself with a Slytherin is the day Dumbledore cuts his beard. Name one good Slytherin and maybe I'll change my mind."
Cassiopeia decided she had heard enough and stood up with her back rushing back up to the castle making James' face drain of colour and his heart drop and Sirius rushed to follow his sister.
"Cassiopeia." stated Remus sadly "She's a good one, you've fucked it now mate"
"Shit." said James scrambling up and chasing after the girl "Cass! Cass! No please come back I didn't mean it." he called after her
"Piss off." growled the girl
"Cass come on. Let me make it up to you." he pleaded his heart beating rapidly in his chest.
"No that won't be necessary Potter." the use of his last name stung James as he could feel the hurt and anger radiating off of her. "I don't think we should be friends any longer, after all as far as I'm aware Dumbledore has not cut his beard"
"No Cass please.." he begged eyes tearing up "I didn't mean it"
"Yes you did James." she said holding back tears "You meant every word, we're all the same us Slytherins" she chuckled humourlessly
"Cass you know I like you."
"But you can't stand my house, you cant stand Slytherin." she sighed in annoyance "I'm sorry but thats who I am and if you can't accept them you can't accept me. We're cunning, ambitious and resourceful. That is what makes a Slytherin, but clearly we share different opinions on my house."
"Please.." he begged
"I'll see you around James." sighed the girl sadly walking away from the boy and James didn't chase her, he didn't follow her like he should have done instead he stood staring at where she was wishing he could go back in time and undo the past half an hour and take back everything he said. But he couldn't.
"What did she say?" said Sirius coming up behind his friend who looked like someone had just kicked his puppy.
"She don't want to even be my friend Padfoot." he whispered letting out a tear.
"That's on you mate. You did just kinda indirectly call her a prick." shrugged Sirius
