Chapter 15: Back to the Nether

            *****Time skip to morning*****

Aphmau's POV

I woke up and checked on Lilith. I heard the door knock and went to answer it. I bet its Garroth. And I was right.

"Morning Garroth."

"Morning Aphmau, I have news from Lord Levin, Tul'la soldiers are outside the village gates demanding to speak with you."

"Well, let's get going. Oh and Garroth I -", trailed off.

"Yes Aphmau?"

"I-it's nothing. Lets get going did you tell everyone else?"

"Okay then. And yes, the others are waiting at the portal for us."

We ran to the portal to get to Phoenix Drop and greeted everyone briefly then stepped through. We walked to the gate and saw the soldiers. It looked like more than O'kasis' army and Scaleswind's combined.

"Are you Aphmau, former lord of Phoenix Drop?"

"Yes, I am. Why are you here?"

"You have something that belongs to us. That lady Irene herself untrusted with US. Shad's Relic"

Wait, what?

"So unless you're Irene you don't have the right to take it. So hand it over and no one gets hurt."

Hehe, little do they know there talking to her reincarnation. "No, we won't do that. You used it for evil."

"Okay then. Boys! Break down this gate!", the commander shouted.

Beforethey got in we made sure anyone who couldn't fight was safe. And when thebattle came, we won of course and Tul'la had retreated. I had my Irene form andGarroth and Katelyn theirs. And Travis had his demon form. And we of course hadour magiks users. We had a few injuries but they were all minor. We fixed back the gates and I when around making sure that if anyone had injuries I healed them.

"Thanks mom. For everything.", Levin said.

"You're welcome Levin. You know you can always ask for help when you need it. Now, I have to be getting back though. I'll come back very soon to tell the rest of the Phoenix Alliance member about what happened."

"Okay Mom. I'll call them here in a few days for you and tell you when."

"MOM!", Malachi called to me.

"Hey Malachi, is everything okay?"

"NO! Brendan sent a bird through the portal saying that Sasha and Michi are free!"

"WHAT! HOW!"

"I don't know. You should get back as soon as possible!"

"Okay!" I told the rest of what happened and we ran to the portal in hopes that we can catch them in time.

"BRENDAN!", I shouted when I saw him.

"APHMAU! Laurance, came in here and busted the women out!"

"And why didn't you stop him?", Travis asked trying to sound calm.

"He was in his Shadow Knight form, you think I was going to mess with him.", Brendan said sarcastically.

"Maybe we can...."

"Aphmau, their long gone buy now. They probably used the battle as a way to sneak through with being seen to get away.", Lucinda stated.

How in the name of Irene did I not notice that Laurance wasn't there with us!

"We should still check!", I said running off.

We looked all over the island and Phoenix Drop and didn't see them. Why did he run off. I went to my house tired. I saw Zoey playing with Lilith on the ground.

"Hello, Aphmau. I'm sorry we couldn't find Laurance."

"It's okay Zoey. Thanks for looking after Lilith."

"No problem. Oh and Garroth is downstairs."

"Okay thanks."

"Aphmau, I overheard your conversation upstairs with Katelyn."

"Wait what! You did!?"

"Yes, I think you should tell Garroth before he finds it out in a worse way than telling him."

"I'll try Zoey."

I went upstairs and sat on my bed crying about Laurance and thought of ways to tell Garroth begore it was too late.

"Aphmau?", Garroth knocked on my door.

Well I guess I could tell him now. I opened the door.

"Aphmau, when I came to get you, you wanted to say something was it important, maybe it could help us find Laurance?", he asked me.

"No, it probably won't. Garroth..., I, I did something with Aaron."

"What... thing?", Garroth asked. I couldn't tell if he knew what I was talking about and trying to be calm or was just being innocent minded.

"I-I did... IT with him.", I looked down.

"YOU WHAT!?"

"Garroth-"

"No, no, no! Aphmau. Please, I need to some time to myself. I'm going to my mother's house for the night again.", he said walking out of the room.

*sigh* great, now I lost three.

Laurance's POV

"So, you're going to answer the calling Laurance?", Sasha asked me.

I was standing in front of the Nether portal. "Yes I am."

"So its gotten that bad eh? That if you see her again you might kill her?" I nodded.

"Oh what a shame Michi is going to miss you a lot. It won't be as interesting without you."

"Heh, I'm sure you'll manage. What are you going to be doing then Sasha.", I asked her.

"Michi's going to take me to Tul'la. There's nothing left here for me. Good-bye Laurance, oh and say hi to Gene for me..., if he's still alive.", Sasha said walking away with Michi.

After they left I stepped through the portal. I looked around and I saw Shadow Knights laying there dead on the ground.

"Hmm, Zenix must have done this.", I said to myself.

I walked around the nether not looking for anything in particular. As I walked through the nether I felt myself slipping into the darkness. I don't know why I'm still trying to hold on to these feelings, I should just let it go. I finally found the Nether fortress and as soon as I approached it I was attacked, by Gene.

"Oh well, look who decided to show up! We have been waiting for you!"

"Well I'm glad your excited for me to beat your sorry butts!", I said blocking his attacks with my sword.

"Hehe, That's what you think. Same old cocky Laurance I see, not even the calling can change that. Let's just say..., you came at the right time little Laurance.", Gene said before knocking me out.
