Chapter 20:

Aphmau's POV

I began crying uncontrollably and fell to my knees.

"APHMAU!", Irene called to me.

She sat back down beside me and explained that she got me out of their before it damaged me mentally anymore. I'm crying in her shoulder, just wishing for all of this to be over. For it just to be a dream. And that tomorrow I'll see Laurance, Garroth and Aaron at my bedside. Irene used her powers to calm me down too were I was almost breathing normally.

"Irene, Thank you. Can we not tell Garroth about what happened?"

"I don't think we can, he's right here."

"Lad- Aphmau! Are you okay?", he asked kneeling down. Why did he care, first he's brushing me off, upset at me now he's embracing me trying to find out why I'm crying. Maybe it's just how guards should be for their lords.

Garroth's POV

I was training with Esmund and I heard a scream that sounded like Aphmau's, but when..., Aaron died. Yes I'm still upset at her, but she's my lord and it's my job to protect her. I ran to the direction of the scream and saw Irene comforting and crying Aphmau.

"*Sniff* Irene, Thank you. Can we not tell Garroth about what happened?", Aphmau said still softly crying.

Irene looked up and saw me and then Esmund walking in after running a bit behind me, "I don't think we can, he's right here."

"Lad- Aphmau! Are you okay?", I asked kneeling down to her level and embracing her when she came towards me.

I felt I face heat up indicating I was blushing, but I don't think she noticed. Why was I blushing, d-do I still have feelings for her, even after everything? Irene and Aphmau explained what happened while they were in the vison version of the Nether. Irene said that she had found Shad and he was able to sense her. But she soon realised that he was trying to keep her away from Aphmau instead of her keeping him away. So she quickly brought them both out of the vison, leading up to where Aphmau broke down and she then told me what she saw. When Aphmau told me what Laurance did, I tensed my grip around her. I knew that could never have been Laurance.

Part of me wanted to still love her in the way I did before and another was still hurt.

"B-because, you're my lord and it's my duty to protect you., and I still love you.", I whispered the last part so she doesn't hear.

She seemed disappointed at my reason but didn't push anything. I sat there still hugging her until I felt the hurt again from when she broke the news to me.

Aphmau's POV

Garroth hugged me then unknowingly I asked him, "G-Garroth, why do you still care, after what happened?", then I clasped my mouth realising what I said.

"B-because, you're my lord and it's my duty to protect you.", he whispered something after but I didn't hear.

We then broke the hug and decided since I was feeling a little better we would head back to our dimension, with Katelyn after explaining to her what happened, to allow myself to get rest making sure I had on the dream amulet Irene gave me. I only saw Garroth once after getting back which was when he saw making sure I got home alright and had the amulet on. Katelyn assured me that everyone was okay and I then went to my bed leaving Lilith with Zoey downstairs.

Katelyn's POV

I saw the blush on Garroth's face when we were in the Irene Dimension. He still has feelings for Aphmau! *EEEEE! * But Aphmau doesn't know! This is like fifteen years ago all over again! *face palm* Either way, Aphmau told me what happened and I swear I Irene if Laurance or anyone does anything to her I'll kill them! Hopefully, Laurance is okay, she's really worried about him, even more now. I remember Vylad told us about the 'Calling' and the fact that Sasha is gone makes me think he has answered it plus Aphmau's vison doesn't help. I just hope that everything will be okay.
